on the kayfun drill out the air hole for move vapor! How To Drill The Air Hole On a Kayfun!!! - YouTube

I've done that with a couple of the kayfun clones I've got (the ones without adjustable airflow), it does make a huge difference. Having said that, I tend to drill out the airholes on most of my attys - I like an airy vape :D

I see what you are saying between the two batteries, although I think that mine actually does have an insulation washer. Is your switch different than mine or is the washer not big enough or something?

Mine does not have the white delrin insert that your switch has. I'll probably have one kicking around in my toolbox somewhere, I've got enough spare vape parts to last for years

So jealous! I am going to buy a kayfun clone soon. I just got into the whole mech scene and I cannot wait to build my own.

It's amazing the difference between say a Protank and a well built coil on a Kayfun - like going from a basic family car to a Ferrari

Must admit, I got a bit retro today and decided to pull out one of my old X9 Protanks. Popped in a standard 2 ohm coil, filled up with some AIV juice and started vaping. Plenty of vapour but very little taste. The same juice in a cotton/nano coiled Kayfun is a million times better.

Built the Kayfun and I have to say that I'm not all that impressed. Used 26 gauge Nichrome and built a micro coil at 0.72 ohms. Used cotton. It hits okay, but doesn't hold a candle to the RSST or the Igo-W. Not a lot of vapor, a bit of funky taste, and made me cough. Haven't drilled it out yet, but I will try that next. Both my other attys are drilled... waiting for my all copper (copper body, top cap, button, lock ring, contacts) Nemi clone from fasttech. $25! I'm pretty sure that much copper costs almost that much in just metal! Get em while they last, a steal!

To be honest I've found my micro coils perform better in the 1.2-1.7 ohm range. Anything lower does tend to burn the cotton too quickly. The extra surface area seems to vapourize the juice better when you use more wraps and a higher resistance.

After lots of experimenting I've found the 2 that work best for me :

30g kanthal, 7/8 wraps for a 2mm coil
or
30g kanthal 9/10 wraps for a 1mm coil.

Never had a dry hit, ultimate flavour and clouds of vapour.
