Thanks for the replies, dan and bad. I miss working with you guys and swapping ideas. I've been thinking about trying to open up that old thread again with a couple of my latest ideas, but I don't know if it would benefit anyone. The problem is, I don't have a way anymore to present these ideas to other people so they can offer their opinions, suggestions, druthers, or whatever.
My latest project is a battery mod, not a cartomizer. Simply put, it's a Sun 1300 mAh battery with the 510 thread removed, leaving only the eGo cone thread for use. However, any other eGo type battery can be done the same way.
I believe this larger battery connection should be the next step for those of us who want to advance the technology of the eGo size cartomizers and larger tanks, and that we need a new industry standard. Not only will it reduce the overall length of our devices somewhat, but it may open up new ideas for some designers who have been handicapped with the restrictions of the standard 510 connection. The use of the 510 connection is not completely lost, though. The adapter I made for charging my battery on a standard 510 charger can also be used with almost any 510 cartomizer or atomizer. In other words, the adapter puts the modified battery back to an eGo standard (less the cone threads).
Forgive me for getting off topic guys, but I ain't no promoter and don't know where else to go with this kind stuff. I believe these type of things need to be discussed further elsewhere, so let me know what you think. Or if you think I'm full of BS, just don't say nuthin', heheh.
I'll say this, though. If ever there was an outfit that could help establish an industry standard, the team at Gotvapes might be just the ones who could do it.
