I have been lurking for a while and greatly appreciate all of you that take the time to share your info with everyone.
So for my first post I have a question.

Has anyone had their e-juice damage their tanks like this one did?
I filled three tanks and let them sit for only a few minutes with some brand new Flux Nectar e-juice only to be amazed at how the tanks started cracking even before I vaped with them as you can see in the pics to no fault of mine.
I
was extra gentle putting them on my e-go and screwing on the tip after filling them using the bottle's dropper.

Frankly I am scared of this juice now and will be sending it back.
If it cracked this plastic then I am worried about my lungs .

I tried one more stardust tank with some sweet-vapes hawaii punch liquid and have been vaping it all day.
I really like this tank. Plenty of vapor , no burny taste and easy to fill.

Please chime in if you have had similar experiences or have any insight into what could be in the juice that did this to the tanks.

Regards,

What flavor is it? Cinnamon and high acid juices, like citrus, are know to crack tanks.
Also, some tanks can be cracked by oil-based flavorings, I'm told. So, certain oil based citrus flavors are particularly problematic.
I'm using Pineapple-Peach Flux Nectar from Gotvapes right now in a CE3 carto and a Vision Stone 2 tank. I've also got some Flux Juicy Fruit in another CE3 carto. I've been vaping the pineapple-peach for a couple days now like that, with no problem whatsoever.

There's nothing dangerous in the Flux. It's the type of plastic they use on those cartos that is the culprit. This has been a know issue since the first Clearomizers came out. It was solved by using a different plastic in the CE3s, and (I think) even the newer CE2 revisions, but evidently not in the Stardust. At least not in your particular batch.

You should go to Gotvapes' vendor forum and ask them about it. They just got those Stardust cartos in recently, they could be defective.

Looks like that is cola, a flavor that much like the drink has a high degree of acidity. As sailorman has said, that is a relatively known effect in that particular type of plastic. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with the juice, but if you have other cartos that AREN'T that pretty clear plastic, it is as safe as anything else to vape.

Sour/Cinnamon flavored Juices Crack Plastic. Im not sure if that juice is sour or not.

Just my :2c:

In my experience since I started vaping a yr ago, The Fancier the name of the cartomiser the worse they are. You are going to be hard pressed to find a cartomiser that performs as well and as consistent as a plain old every day Boge Carto. IMO

Also while I have never done any business with gotvapes the way he treats his customers in the Negative Feedback thread here on ECF, as well as the way he treats reviewers on Youtube, has convinced me to look else were. :2c:

Sorry, but I have to chuckle a bit at that one. I'm no GV fanboy. I've only made one purchase from them ever. But Youtube reviewers? Youtube is a cesspool of idiots and pitchmen, 75% of whom don't know the first thing about what they're reviewing, or are trying to pitch some POS with an affiliate code or link.

I haven't even seen how GV reacts to youtube reviewers, but unless he's bashing someone like PBusardo, Smokie, or a relative handful of others, there's probably a better than even chance they deserve it. The man's business is on the line and I imagine it's frustrating to see some halfwit who hasn't bothered to learn how to use something give it a bad review.

No offense to the O.P., but the problem with acidic juice in hard plastic cartos is not exactly a new revelation. But he'd be free to put up a review bashing that juice. If he did that, he'd deserve to get called out on it. I might do it myself, even though I have no dog in the fight.

Google some reviews on the CE3 Smokymizers. Look how many people trashed them for leaking as they were filled because they didn't bother to stick the condom on the connector end. That's the caliber of many of the people who do reviews on Youtube.

not gonna get into the personality thing, but I will say, when you've got them working right, the stardusts DO work very well, and keep working well. I've got two that I have had since the first batch that I have been using every single night (on rotation, while one is soaking and drying the other is being used). They are kind of the exception to the rule that fancy name means crappy product. Although, I'll agree, there have been some doozies over the years, lol.

The flavor is indeed cola and is one of the better Colas I have tasted all though it has a very lemony aftertaste which I like alot. This is the second juice I tried from them, the first being the fruit stripe gum flavor, (Yipes Stripes) which was very good.
I wish they would make smaller bottles though in case the flavor is not to my liking since they cost about 13 dollars a bottle.
The juices are very thin being a 75pg/25vg mix so they probably work well with all of the tanks they have.
I have had some poor results with the other tanks they sell and I figure it must be because I tend to use thicker VG juices which obviously won't flow as well in these tanks.

I have to second the good results with the Stardust vs other tanks like the Vision, Vison Deux and Clearomizers.
I was only tempted to buy them after watching a GeekGirlVaper (Jen aka Mergryphon?) Youtube review where said that they worked great with all of the juices she tried including thick VG so I was very excited about them. Her reviews are so thorough. She is in a class of her own as far as reviews go. GotVapes has always treated me well and I often reccomend them to my friends. Quick shipping , good price , etc. I am definitely ordering some more of them for me and for some new vapers to try because they work so well and are easy to fill and they look good too. I have to imagine that they will work well with any kind of juice whether its PG or VG.

I just recieved an order of the Stardusts, and have been vaping Vanilla Cola since yesterday. Just to test out this carto, I think I'll vape a few different Cola flavored ejuices I have. I shouyld mention, I left the ejuice in this carto overnight--let's ee how they hold up to a continual use. I do hope they pan out, though--I'm liking them so far.

It's been Day 4 using the Stardust, and vaping Vanilla Cola--no cracks or problems so far. This weekend, I plan on vaping one of the listed flavors that has been known to crack this cartomizer (I saw it listed on the other thread posted here about those eliquids that are known to cause cracks). I'll post my results (amd which flavor it is, since I don't want to give a premature negative view on the eliquid or the supplier) early next week.
