This is from an earlier post of mine...
"Yeah, my mother retired from the PO in 2006 as a distribution supervisor & used to tell me how f....d the USPS was going to get in the future. Her words not mine! Policies were being put in place, that the only real workers now are the 50 & 60 somethings with experience that are going to be retiring soon. The new younger class don't really have anyone to direct them & mainly watch the conveyors rolling along &
gotta call someone in the head office if there's a problem, mind you that is based on a specific region & not necessarily in the same building! She was also ...... at the favoritism that was shown to the brown nosers who never got anything done.
Now that she's retired & living in WA, whenever she walks in to the local PO they cringe cause she still gets the supervisor newsletter from the USPS & if she knows policy is not being followed, she tears them a new one giving them the date when said policy was initiated and aren't following postal code. She tells me don't take s..t from these stupid a.s p....s!
Best part of this story-I can rag on the PO now, & not feel guilty about it!!!"
Also, it seems things are the opposite on my end...my parcels actually leave NY in a day or two, it's the Hawaii PO that sits on my stuff. Strange.
