Can someone tell me the difference in the long wick or short wick version? Do you like this stardust, any problems?
Thanks

I have used both and both work great for me. The long wicks might require a little less attention to keeping them wet, although I remember Danno mentioning they might not work as well some certain types of juices. I haven't had any issues though.....

its a matter of preference, the ego vision stardust was designed with short wicks and for a reason, the inner tube is fat enough that on any tilt the wicks get wet, and can penetrate them faster, but some wanted long wicks and certain juices benefit form this, its a matter of preference and what works best for oyu.

The longer the wick the better it is for anything that uses it. It works by capillary action. In the case of cartomizer such as the Vision, the theory applies, also. The wicking action works whenever the bottom tips of the wick touches the liquid. Wicking is similar to syphoning except for the capillary action. Once the liquid is distributed evenly within the wick, the capillary action stops. There is time involve. The longer the wick the longer time it takes for the liquid to travel to equalize the saturation within the wick. So, the longer the wick the less you have to tilt. For fast dragging vapers, they will have some dry draw. They still have to tilt it 180 degress to get a good vapor. This what I remember from my college many many moons ago, lol..

not in the case of the stardust and different liquids , we are way past the point where everyone is using the same type of juice form china which is thin and while some taste funky they do vape well and work in many systems.

in the last few years juice in the usa can come form 1000;s of places and can have all type of flavorings and higher vg ratio, or could be very thick which might cause certain juices to perform well in all systems, take 100% vg for example, trying to fill a carto with vg take a while as it doesnt soak up , it will just sit there and not penetrate the filler unless you do it properly.

In the stardust the middle tube is much fatter so any slight tilting keep the wick wet and you need to tilt in more like a cig as you get low on juice but you dont need to do what some people do with ce2 and turn it upside down etc.. vape it in a manner you would a cig and that tilting alone does its jobs with the shorter wick. the shirt wicks are frayed as you can see on all short wick ego vision stardusts making the pathway to the coil easier to seep in the shorter wick and wet the coil area faster, this works with many juices and there isnt much they have to travel up since the wick are cut short.
the longer wicked ones sometimes dont perform well with certain juices that normally are a pain to use but that same juice might vape better with short wicks

on a vision the longer wicks do help and its one fatter wick but you can still get a dry taste if the juice is real low and its the type of juice that doesnt wick well and might not travel upwards, never was a issue for me but just mentioning it

I haven't tried the long wick Stardust, so I can't rightfully compare. But, whatever the theory (and I'm as fond of theories as anyone - sometimes to the detriment of common sense :D), what I can say is this:

After I learned how to use the short-wicked Stardust properly (see Bad's post above), I have had *no* problems with wicking. None at all. Not with any juice I tried in them - with a caveat that the lowest percentage of VG I use is 30. While with long-wicked non-Stardust cartos I have always had occasional dry hits, even with Extremes, which are very, very good at wicking, generally. Based on this personal experience, I see no need for me to bother with long wicks. I love the Stardust as is!

Plus the short wicks are cute. They look like little bunny tails. Ok, this is frivolous... :D
