I was managing a club that Townes was supposed to play. We had heard that Townes had become ill, but of course his booking agent said everything was alright. Townes passed away a couple weeks before the gig, too many demons. Two tragic figures gone too soon for sure.

would have been great to see him perform live, I bet you seen a lot of good music there

I had only seen him once and was really looking forward to seeing him again and actually get to meet him. Definitely the coolest part of the job was seeing and meeting all these great musicians....
