Just a quick question for the vets. I am having a bit of trouble with PG in the ejuices I currently vape. I'm pretty sure they are mostly 50/50 mixes.
I wanted to try out Gourmet Vaper's flavors. So I needed to know whether it was worth mixing the flavor with 50PG/50VG or is that too thick? Will I need to double the flavor or will it be okay at that mix ratio? Just wondered if anyone had tried their flavors at 50/50 because the site recommends an 80/20 mix. If 50/50 is too much do you guys think a 60/40 would be okay? Thx in advance.

Guess I should have said that I am not concerned with a TH any longer. A small one is nice but flavor is more important. I have plenty of mint, candy cane, and peppermint juices if I need a nice harsh TH. I like the vapor and flavor aspect much more and PG seems to be irritating my lungs if the mix is high. Thx for the reply. I am going to assume you were saying that you get a 40PG 60VG juice? If so then I am very happy to hear that. Do you double your flavor or does it still come through at that mix ratio?
**Edit**
I went ahead and ordered with the 50/50 ratio, 18mg, reg strength flavor. Couldn't help it. The 40% discount code worked and since it's past the due date for the discount, I didn't want to take a chance and lose out on the big savings. OOOOoooo I can't wait.

All of my juices, including the ones from Gourmet Vapor, are 80%PG/20%VG. VG increases the vapor, but decreases the flavor and TH. It is all personal preference, so I would suggest that you buy some small bottles of your favorite juices with a range of PG/VG ratios, and try to find the mix that best suits you.

Thx for the replies, much appreciated. If I have learned one thing important on this forum when it comes to juices, it's all about personal preference. :) I just didn't want to make a juice that was obviously bleh because I ordered the wrong PG/VG ratio. And since this is my first time with this company I figured you veterans would know.
I did order all little bottles and tried my hand at a new flavor BananaScotch Double rum.... Will make that public if it's any good. Anyway I paid less for 12 flavors than I do for my regular six. Great discount that I simply couldn't pass up.

My last shipment of juice from Gourmet Vapor was all 50/50. FWIW: I was extremely surprised at how thin it was. It is actually thinner than the rest of my 50/50 mixes. The flavor picked up considerably than my 100%VG juice that I had from them. I like the vapor and the feel of the vapor myself, and the vapor production was only minimally reduced. I am actually vaping some right now and I love this stuff . . . I still don't know what to name this mix though, LOL.

Hey, Freaky! I noticed that my 50/50 mixes from GV were on the thin side, too! Glad I'm not the only one. I was kind of surprised by it, and at first I thought it was because I warmed up a couple of the bottles so I could use them. Nope. They're all like that. I'm not sneezing or anything and they taste great! It's just kind of odd...

I didn't even think about how good it is for people with PG problems. I love VG to no end, except for it being so thick and not really being able to use it in cartos. I'm going to try a couple different mixes with 70% and 80% VG next time 'cause it would be nice to have a higher VG in my cartos. I should have ordered before the 15th . . . I just realized last night that I'm pretty much out of my light truffle. Oh well, it's worth full price to me.

I just got some samples from Gourmet Vapor - this is the 1st time I've used ejuice other than the ones from my kit. I had ordered 24mg 80/20 (as they suggest) all in reg flavor - when I tried them I was amazed at how little taste I got from them! It was so tasteless to me that I will be ordering triple flavor (and if that's too much I'll mix it with what I have here). I did have some taste however and from what I could tell 3 of the 5 samples I got I would want to vape again - actually they were all good. I was impressed with what I would have to say is GV's sophisticated flavoring, it seems very layered. I also got batches of samples from other vendors and some of it was good but not in the "hit" ratio of GV. I just wish this batch was flavored strong enough for me - but I will surely fix that. The three "hits" were Seattle Blend, Chocolate Raspberry and 555 Black Lable. Maiden Coffee wasn't as good as these (IMO) and RY4 - not to my taste.

Thanks everyone... update... I got my juices and have yet to try them all. You guys were spot on about the thickness. At 50/50 they were on the thin side. I was shocked at how much thinner compared to my other 50/50 mixes. I am still working on all the flavors I ordered and since I got 16 different ones in all... it will take some time.
And I hate when I hit a favorite right in the beginning. Makes it so hard to keep trying the rest. :) White Smurf is a winner and that was a surprise because blueberry is not a favorite. That one was an impulse buy. After I sample these I will have to hit up a couple more vendors before I settle on my all time favorites to order in larger quantities.
This forum is awesome.

Cajun83, Do you think you'd order a triple next time?

actually, may not order again...

I feel that I was slightly decieved. Single flavor should have meant, normal flavor IMO... double and triple should be MORE flavor. It seems that the double flavor at GV is normal for everyone elses liquids...

You should certainly order at least the double... but wait for another sale, their liquid is pretty pricey without the discount.

I really like the Maiden Coffee double flavor. I order it with the 80/20 PG/VG, which is thin, but I've found that I can use it with regular tobacco flavors, or mix in some caramel, or some chocolate (more PG based), and it's really good!! Kind of reminds me of using Mccormick's flavorings when I'm baking a cake. LOL Haven't tried the triple flavor yet, but I might.

There must be something wrong with me because I don't like any GV juice that I have tried. Maybe I haven't found the right one yet.

Nope, nothing wrong with you. Everybody has different taste. I've got no clue what the big deal is about RY4, or some of the other flavors people seem to like.

GV juices are made to order and MUST sit to steep for a couple of weeks, at least, in order to reach their full flavors. I had bought a bunch of them and when I tried them all, they had little to NO FLAVOR. I know its really hard to just leave them alone, lol...but I think that you will be pleased with the outcome if your patient. NOTE - I ordered mine in their recommended 70/30, with a few in 80/20, and in the double flavoring.
