I leave it in the "locked" position when I thread it in. I'm able to hold both portions of the switch and screw it in without the locking ring rotating.. Works much better than trying to thread it on in the locked position IMO..

Anyone have any tips on how to screw the switch in tight without over tightening the locking part?

I like to tighten my switch down in the "locked" position as well. When I get it on there I then put my finger nail in the gap between the locking ring and "switch plate" and start to "unlock" the switch. This seems to put more pressure on the threaded section instead of tightening the locking ring to much. Hope I explained that well enough thru typing:)

i stick a little piece of wood shim in between the cap and switch and tighten it down, then remove the shim, works really well, and that's my only complaint with the paps. lol

Did a paracord wrap on the paps, must say it looks good!
