Hey, Todd? If you get a chance can you take a photo of the internals of the slim woodies? Also what does that quilted big leaf maple look like? Will 18350's also fit in them? Does your wood guy have marble? I'm thinking marble with tiger wood end caps like my little sneaky pete would be really pretty but that quilted maple sounds nice too

I just received a new Woodie Max. The unit is poorly constructed. The door is hinged but there are no magnets so it rattles and springs open constantly. Those things I can live with. What I find absolutely abominable is the incredibly poor job on the finish. MV took a beautiful piece of Paduak, didn't fill the grain, didn't sand it properly and just sprayed it down with some sort of polyurethane. Subsequenly, this thing is full of drips, sags, runs, aligatoring and orange peel.
My recommendation is stay away if you're a wood lover. This finish is shameful. I wish I had kept it long enough to take pictures, but quite frankly, I opened the box, took one look at the finish, determined it was a piece of crap and threw it out the back door and into the woods behind my house, thats how disgusted I was.

Ok how funny you posted this here before you even heard the truth.. So this guy actually got this item in a trade from another person that did order a Woodie from me and he did not like the finish. So I asked this person to send it back. He said no he would like to refinish the Woodie himself so I refunded 20.00 and he must have refinished it badly. So you my friend did not buy this new from ME! So I would say you need to go back to the guy you bought it from and get your trade back. If you come on my thread again posting garbage like this I will make sure you are banned from ECF for ever!

I guess they didn't know that you offer one free refinish on every woodie in existence as long as the person asking for the refinish has the orginal receipt *shrugs*....
