Glad that you got that issue sorted out with the woody. All I can say is Todd is a great guy to do business with. I received my fun box and it only had 2 batteries and I had ordered 4. I opened a ticket on his site and within 5 minutes, he called me to apoligize. Who else does that? He obivously cares about his customers. He is sending them out to me and I can not tell you how much I love his mod. I will probably now have to get a vv woody as the new ones look awesome.

wow, I'm impressed and a little confused...

firstly, am I correct that the adjustment wheel is inside the door on all of the VV Woodies and the door is hinged? Can anyone give me an idea as to the ease/difficulty of turning the wheel for adjustment...both the stiffness of the wheel and fitting your finger in there?

which ones have a readout inside as well?

so...excluding the Fat Max VV 18650, we have the Fat Max Woodie V2 14500, the Max Woodie V214500, the VV Woodie V2 14500, all 3 of which take pairs of 14500's (duh!), and the slim VV Woodie V2, which takes stacked 18350's.

It's tough not having photos of the open doors so I can see the internals of all these different models.

I read through this entire thread and must say how impressed I am with Todd's interest in including his clientele in his thoughts and with the stellar customer service he is providing, even to those difficult customers!

Thanks for your help

well, actually there are photos of the open doors, with the exception of the VV Woodie V2 14500, so I stand corrected...

Yes the adjustment wheel is inside the box. No the new woodies do not have hinges on them. We found out the old Woodies had a weak spot and that was the hinge. New new Woodies have a slide on back door.

Thanks Todd, for getting back to me...the potentiometer on the Max 14500 looks kinda squished up there...like you might need a little screwdriver or something to make an adjustment..is that true?...the wheel on the Fat Max (I'm assuming that's it in the lower left) looks much easier to adjust with just a finger...

The VV Woodie 14500 doesn't have a pic with the cover off...what's the potentiometer situation/location on that one? I don't necessarily need a digital readout, but it might be fun...but I definitely do not want to carry around a little screwdriver. I currently use a Smoktek VV Varicool, no digital readout..adjust to taste... and the back has to come off to adjust voltage, but it slides off pretty easily with just a thumb...wondering how easily the back comes off of your mods?

I have some reviews of my plastic boxes and the old Woodie on youtube if you would like to watch them. That picture was of the first Woodie V2 made. I have now since added a wheel to it. It makes it much easier to adjust. I will have some more pictures up tomorrow of the latest one I made.
