Grape Lemonade

Hey everyone, this is my second blend. My first is Malibu Rum which I will post later.

My latest, Grape Lemonade.

Recipe:

Makes 30ml, all flavourings are LorAnn Gourmet.

Base is:
PG = 64%(19.2ml)
VG = 21%(6.3ml)

Flavours:
Grape 10% (3ml)
Lemon 5% (1.5ml)

Makes good vapor, and tastes nice and rich.

I was at a Bulk Barn yesterday and ran into the LorAnns flavours. I was extremely happy as it was proving difficult to find in baking stores and even Michaels in my area. My other recipe below is Malibu Rum and is made with Club House flavours.

I know they have a tendency to be a bit weak for this application, but increasing the mix to 20% flavour seems to have corrected that issue.

Malibu Rum:

Makes 30ml, all flavourings are Club House.

Base is:
PG = 60%(18ml)
VG = 20%(6ml)

Flavours:
10%(3ml) - Rum Flavour (Water, PG, Alcohol, Art. Flavour, Caramel Colour)
10%(3ml) - Coconut Flavour (Water, PG, Alcohol, Art. Flavour)

They may not all be laid out the same way, but the LorAnns was NOT in the baking section. It was a small display type box loaded with different tiny little 1dram (3.7ml) bottles.

So it might require a bit of searching. I had already thrown in the towel when I stumbled upon them by fluke. I Guess when you're not looking for something, it magically appears lol

Hey HeXy, I was skimming through the DIY recipes last night and came across your malibu rum recipe. And then I found ya here. I did not know you were Canadian! I am glad to have a fellow canuck on the board here, so that I can bug you when I need help with DIY. Between RachelCoffe and yourself, you two both really know what you are doing, and I look forward to trying your recipes. I ordered all the ingredients I need to make my juices now, so will be writing some reviews on them when I make em! Thanks for this!!!!!!

Do you have the DIY Simple Calc V2 by Switched? If not, I'd start there.

This sounds yummy! Quick question though...are you using nic bases or are these non-nic? I have vg and was wondering if I should order some unflavoured pg-based nic juice...if so, what proportions would I use then and how do I figure out what strength nic juice to get if I'll be mixing it? Ugh...I'm lost! lol

My own blends are not done with nic, I use them between cravings to recklessly vape a lot lol..

If you're dripping though, or using the Tank system, you might want to lower the lemon to 1mil. I found the Lemon rather strong when dripping and initially made these recipes on a 510 with lipton rigged carts.

Thanks hexy! Not so sure that no-nic blends would work for me just yet so I'll see if I can figure out how to do this with unflavoured pg based nic juice and added pg & flavourings.

Might want to check with a supplier that blends their own for the math on it. Or I'm sure someone else here could easily help you with it.

I just haven't bothered as I find the nic mixed PG to be rather expensive for the volume you get. But I only like vaping sweet tobacco flavours with nic.. So I just buy those and keep mine non nic.

Where is RachelCoffe???? Come hun we need your DIY expert advice! I am sure she will see you post cactusgirl and respond or you could even PM her. She has alot of great advice when it comes to nic levels and DIY mixing. I am super duper excited to get my DIY stuff tomorrow! I saw your posts heXy on the recipes you have been doing and I got all the ingredients to do them myself. WOOT!

If you get the Nic mixes down, and make mine with nic let me know, I'll buy a bottle off you lol.
