There is a local outfit here in the Portland area who's makes a few juices I love and are only sold at a few local shops (no online sales at all). The shop I usually find their liquids in has gotten a bit hit or miss with their stock, leaving me all too often to not be able to find the right flavor, with the right nic level in the right sized bottle.
So I locate another (and fairly new) shop nearby who also stocks this companies juice and decide to give them a try. I show up to find a TINY store which one person working and a pile of folks waiting, so I decide to sample a few other flavors from this company while waiting. My turn comes up and I order my usual, true tobacco and toasted almond in 12 mg, then pick out a few new flavors from their lineup.
She looks up to find two of my choices she does not have in 12mg, so I go to tell her "never mind" (being used to other stores limited stock), to find she grabs a bottle of 24mg and a bottle of 0mg and state, "I'll make ya up a bottle right now". A bit shoked and now with some more time to kill I notice a 30ml, unlabled bottle of clear juice. "What's that" I ask when she returns to be told it's just a bottle of straight VG.
For a while I've been in a quandry, having stepped from 24mg to 18mg to 12mg, but hitting a wall, finding 6mg just did not do the trick, yet 12mg is just a bit too much for me now. So I have her toss a dirt cheap bottle of straight VG into the bag as well, thinking I could use this to slightly step down the nicotine level and the flavors (personally I find most juice to be TOO over flavored after a few hours). Walking out I overhear another customer order a bottle of nicotine which shocks me because I have yet to find a shop that sells DYI supplies (Hmmmmmmmmmm....).
I get home and mix some premade juice with a bit of straight VG (I estimate it's around 9-10 mg) to find the flavor is less intense (as I hoped for), the nicotine throat hit is less (as I was aiming for) and as a bonus, a LOT more in the way of clouds. Only problem I see is getting the mixture in my tanks just right. Was thinking X drops of this, Y drops of that but quickly realize that straight VG drops sure APPEAR a lot larger than the 50/50 premade juice.
