So I got my 30g Kanthal in today. Made a micro coil for my PT2 with cotton wick. WOW!! I then proceeded to make one for my AGA-T2…WOW!! I started practicing with 32g while I was waiting for my 30g. I never thought it would make much of a difference but it sure does. I have 28g on the way for the AGA-T2 because as of right now the PT2 is outperforming it. 2.1ohms at 10 watts on my Vamo V3. My head is somewhere in this pic.

Nice pic! I received 32 gauge wire in the mail because my vendor was out of stock on the 30, so they shipped the 32 for free...what the hey I can't argue with free right? So my first wick and coil right off the bat was a huge success. I put a new wick and coil on my buddy's cig, same exact cig I have...and we just can't get the darn thing to perform. Wish I knew what it was but I'm sure that'll end up in another thread lol. Keep up the good work on those coils!

What tank were you using?

It's a genesis style tank on an IChybrid...I picked up 3 of them, only wanted 2 of them for myself and my wife but my buddy opted to pay me for the 3rd. Out of the box, mine worked ok but I still wanted to be the ultimate wick n wire master so after about 3 days of vaping on a hybrid I decided to give it a go and made my own stuff. My wife's worked just fine as well out of the box, so we left hers alone. My buddy's worked out of the box, then all of a sudden seemed like hit battery was dying i.e. took lots of time to heat up and could only get a little vapor going. I swapped batteries with him without much result. I then swapped switches with him thinking he had a contact problem somewhere without much result. It seems like you've really gotta press the button pretty hard to get anything out of his which doesn't seem right. I've gone through and build two different wicks for it, and I popped no less than 6 coils within an hour's time trying to get his hooked up. It kept popping at the top coil, and there was a significant burn spot on the top of the wick like it was a short grounding out. No problem...I'll just make another wick and start over. Same result, pretty much the same exact spot. So for whatever reason, I feel like there is some kind of open circuit on the negative side...like the neg post isn't grounded out well. Not sure how that can be when it's grounded to the entire atty, but I want to try and tear it down and give it a go this weekend. I guess we will see what happens then  I just feel bad for the guy...kinda like I roped him into a bad buy when both mine and my wife's are working just fine.

I recently ordered some basic RDA supplies, 29g Kanthal A1, and 32g Kanthal A1 (to experiment with), also got some 1mm silica and 2mm silica wicks.

I have no idea what to expect, but I am looking forward to trying out my first RDA. Got myself an Octopus and a Squid to break myself into the world of RDA (which may become a necessity someday if ecigs ever get wholly banned).

Dunno how the world of ecigs does it, but there is ALWAYS something else to buy and experiment with. And when you think you have it all figured out, there is a whole new thing to get interested in and spend $$$ on. Those Chinese sure know how to market!
