Made my first juice today. It took 4 tries to get it where I like it. My goal was to use minimal ingredients, not only to save money, but to cut back the amount of chemicals I'm vaping. I started low and gradually increased until I ended up with something I liked. This is a MINIMALIST formula, most people probably will not like it. You can definately taste the VG.

All ingredients are from Perfumer's Apprentice. I'm a chemist, so I used micropipettes and exact measurements. If you want to convert to drops, one drop is approximately 60 µL (microliters). This formula produces 20 mg/mL nicotine, adjust as you see fit.

Add about 5 mL of VG (or PG if you like) to the container, then add:

200 µL Sweetener
500 µL 10% Ethyl Maltol in EtOH (ethanol)
1.2 mL Green Apple Flavor
200 µL 100 mg/mL nicotine in PG
Dilute to 10 mL with VG

:)

I also buy all my flavors from PA, great company!
I am not a chemist, but I have been mixing my own juices for months.
I found out that I can only tolerate a small amount of PG
I have been using drops with one of the juice calculators out there. But I think I need to start using micropipettes. The reason I say this is, an example 10 drops of VG(thicker of course) compared to 10 drops of PG, there will be more VG volume. where do you buy quality micropipettes? question, the Ethyl Maltol you used, was it the crystals, I have some but I cannot get it to dissolve in my juices.
Apple flavors are great, especially grandmas Apple pie.
I know I'm rambling on here, I would like to get your thoughts on triacetin, I have a lot I purchased from PA thinking I would use it in place of PG.
after one day of vapping, when I went to clean my drip tip I noticed severe Goo on the end of the tip and inside, it was like soft plastic, very hard to get off. it was very odd and a little concerning since I was inhaling this stuff all day.

Micropipettes are pretty expensive. I use them at work, I think we buy them from Fischer Scientific. You'd probably be best off to purchase a single, variable volume model.

I made a 10% solution of EM in ethanol and use that. It is completely soluble in ethanol. It's also soluble at about 10% in VG from what I understand, but it's too hard to work with since VG is very viscous. I'm trying to avoid measuring VG! I use a 10-mL volumetric flask for my formulas to make it easy.

I don't know about using triacetin, I can't help you there since I've never tried it.
