HI, my husband has begun to journey to stop smoking and I was wondering what others on this site think of Green Smoke as a e-cig? I read some decent reviews in other places before I found this great site. My husband is very interested in a e-cig option and I want to see what is the best. He smoked 2 packs of Cambridge light menthols a day.

Thanks much

Green Smoke is a KR808D-2 aka E9, a Chinese wholesaler model that is not popular here and not compatible with its popular look-alike KR808D-1. And the rebranders who sell models based on KR808D-2 usually make the cartomizers harder to fill by putting hard caps or even glued hard caps on them. Also the rebranders like Green Smoke tell bald-faced lies about how long a cart lasts and how long a battery lasts. Haha - they are claiming one cart lasts as long and 30 cigarettes - totally not even close to true. Vendors that lie like that are not even allowed here. And OMG they charge $50 for a battery. A battery should cost under $15 for a basic original vendor color, maybe $19 for a fancy reseller color.

A cartomizer lasts for maybe 5-10 cigarettes at the most, and you don't want to run them dry because it will ruin them. You should get nice soft-cap cartomizers and refill until it dies or tastes bad. Since they are meant to be disposable, you should get from 2-14 refills - depends how well you treat them and luck.

If you think a cartomizer model is what you then buy KR808D-1 instead and it is aka Vapor King at Vapor4Life.com in fancier colors. KR808D-1 is the most popular cartomizer model. Nice batteries and there are adapters available for some other model's atomizers if you even want to use it as a 3-piece model with atomizer and carts. (that's what I do - with a 901 atty which actually screws right on). I recommend manual batteries.

NOOOOOOOOOOO! I started with Green Smoke. POS! Try a 510 or KR 808.

Agreed and that's what my fiance and I started with, too. The best thing I can say about them is at least they refunded most of our money in a reasonable amount of time. Don't buy them.

Take a look at these two links. Some of the info in the videos is a bit dated, but it's still relevant. The ECF Library is a wealth of information that will help make your decision easier and give you a better idea of what to expect from vaping.

I bought the Greensmoke and the V2cigs kr808d1, and am returning the GS! It's not that it is bad, it just isn't great, the carts don't taste so great, very difficult to refill, relatively short battery life, really hard to pull a drag of vapor from (you have to use a lot of mouth suction) and way overpriced for what you get! I'm new to this, but found the v2cigs kit reasonable for what you get, and there are lots of companies to order compatible carts from later on, like vapor4life.com, and others. I'd recommend the manual batteries too...really easy to use.

By the way, I forgot to mention, most of the reviews for GS out there are just affiliates sensationalized reviews...not genuine reviews like the ones you will find here. I wish I would have found ECF BEFORE I ordered...if i did, I would never have ordered the GS in the first place. THe forum members are awesome and so helpful here!

Good luck!
