Long time lurker here. I think I've posted a few responses to other threads, but never introduced myself and figured it was about time.
I've been vaping for about 3 years. After 10-12 years of non-smoking, my wife and I both picked up the habit again while on an all-inclusive vacation in Mexico, where the alcohol was practically free and unlimited (already paid for in the hotel package deal) and cigarettes were available for just a couple of bucks a pack. However, after returning home from vacation, we found quitting much harder this time. After picking up a couple of cheap ego starter kits and some juice for both of us one day, we instantly stopped smoking analogs that very moment and haven't looked back since. We've gone through every iteration and progressive step of vaping from the vaping pens and clearomizers, mechanical/regulated mods, tanks, drippers, etc. to to point today where I simply find that the process of vaping has become more than just a means of nicotine delivery. It's also become therapeutic. I enjoy the time spent learning, practicing and then perfecting a good build technique, or learning about the latest vaping trend or device, or making some really good tasting juice. But best of all, I've met some really great folks along the way that I may have not otherwise gotten to know outside of vaping. From a social aspect, I like that vaping is non-denominational and non-partisan. It tends to attract and bring together people of all colors, religions, income and education levels. For the most part, vapers that I know are curious, inquisitive, a bit more open minded, and tolerant of individual differences. There are certainly exceptions to any of those, but I almost always meet cool and decent people whenever I go to a vape-friendly bar/restaurant, hangout at my local vape store, hit up a new vape forum, or just about anywhere else where someone might introduce themselves by first asking what kind of atty you're rocking and how you like it.
