Hey, folks!

Obviously, I'm new to this place and just wanted to give everyone a hello.

I've been vaping for about 4 months and have been really happy that I made the switch... given all of the money I've been saving and how I've been able to notice the change in how well I breath and have been getting my sense of taste/smell back.

I currently am using a Joye 510 and am hooked on Halo e-liquids. Just got my order of Torque 56 in. Great tobacco taste and throat hit.

Anyone got any suggestions on atomizer up keep? I seem to go through them rather quickly... I don't seem to get the vapor output that I would new after a few weeks of use.

Blow them out every night, and leave them open side down overnight. Should last ya a while with basic maintanance.

Hey there zero. Tips on atty upkeep? Well, I used to try all kinds of stuff to clean and baby my attys until I came to the conclusion that it wasn't worth the hassle. I just use those suckers 'till they don't work anymore (usually at least a couple months) and then I grab another one. At $7.00 a pop it's still a fraction of what my Benson & Hedges used to cost. A tiny fraction.

Hey, folks, thanks for the responses. I usually get about 1-2 weeks out of one atty. I've been chocking it up to my usage. They don't necessarily go dead, they just don't seem to put out the vapor like they once did.

I get all of my products from esmokeclub. They cost me about 6 bux a pop when I buy them in lots of 5.

Attys dont last all that long in general. I go through them too. However, 7.00 for an atty versis 14 a day for smokes is still cheap no matter how long it lasts .
Sometimes a week, sometimes 2 after that I dont worry about it much anymore.

I've been vaping for five months, and have had very few of my atomizers fail. I have to add to that, that I rotate quite a bit with multiple atomizers, so it's hard for me to place a lifespan on them.

Welcome to the best place to learn things about vaping and vaping gear.

Over use is the culprit. Try to have (at least) 3 units to use in rotation. That way, during a day, you are splitting the use across all 3, instead of just 1. Another benefit is you could have multiple flavors available.

I have 9 PV units in rotation, 2 of these with cartomizers. I also have 14 different flavored cartomizers to rotate in. My atties and cartomizers last for months. YMMV.

1-2 weeks is really on the short side. There are many methods of atty maintenance in ecf, and everyone has their favorite. Browse the E-Cigarette Maintenance Forum for ideas.

Agree w/ Sandford in rotating your atties. One that I use for my all day vape gets at least 6 hours of vaping per day...almost a month and still producing the same as day 2 of use. Many members get months of use from their atties.

hello. I am new to the forums too and have about 6 months of vaping under my belt. I started with an auto 401, but when the atty started crapping out on me I decided to get a manual 510 kit. That was about 4 months ago and both atty's are still producing clouds of vape, as stated before I just switch it up.

I'm definitely going to be trying out highping's method and start rotating them... I have a box full of mediocre working atty's in a box sitting in the medicine cabinette. I just got a boat load of products in from Totally Wicked, Halo, and a free sampler from VaporNine. Also got a pass through for my 510. So... needless to say, I'm pretty excited. wooohooo!

I would only consider the highping atty resurrection method as a last resort because I'd be afraid to pop them. I would consider trying to clean them first. Some people suggest coke (as in the soft drink, I think), lemon juice and 151 rum. I can think of better uses for 151 rum, so I use isopropyl alcohol. In a small glass, bring it to a boil a few times in the microwave, then let 'em soak for a while, blow them out and let them dry over night. I haven't been doing this for very long, but so far it seems to be working.

When I was using the 510 I rarely had an atomizers go bad. Then I started using 3.7, 6.0 and 7.4 volts with LR atomizers and HV atomizers. Now I have one die every couple of days.

I have been buying the LR and HV atomizers from Eastmall for 3.00 each so the price of losing one every couple of days is not bad.
