Hello all,

I'm from the Salinas, CA area. I'm pretty new to the whole E-Cig thing. Basically, I've been smoking on and off (a lot more on than off) for 24 years or so. I've quit a few times, but always end up slipping back into it. A few coworkers have quit using E-Cigs (both had the Totally Wicked Tornado C).

I bought a starter kit 2 weeks ago and haven't looked back. I'm on day 7 analog free and looking more forward to trying new juice flavors than lamenting that I'm not having cigarettes. I gotta admit, a big part of "quitting" this way is the fact that you're not really giving anything up. In fact, you're gaining a cool new hobby, with TONS of options.

My initial plan was to use the vaping to eventually quit all nicotine. I still might....eventually. For now though, I'm digging the vaping. The info I've found in these forums is just what I needed. I'm learning tons.

Thank you guys and gals for being here. And thank you in advance for answering any "noob" questions that might pop up.

Welcome Ub3r and good going on 7 days analog-free! Indeed, vaping can become quite the hobby and the limits are as high as the sky. Don't sweat a timetable on quitting nic, it'll either happen or not... either way it's not the stinkies - in my case, 3+ months going, I've already dropped from 24mg to 18 mostly just because a vendor sent a free 12mg sample and when I used it... I didn't notice a change, so I dropped my level (not giving up the juice I already bought though :) Let it all happen organically and you'll be good. Thanks for joining and introducing yourself!

Hi Ub3r,

Congrats on your first 7 days. Greetings from the Bay Area. You hit the nail on the head about a new hobby. I've been spending a lot of time myself looking at all the options available. If you're ever in the bay area, I know of 2 spots in the Bay Area. I'm in the East bay so the 2 closest spots are in Oakland and Berkley. I've had good experiences with both places. I started with a tobacco flavor at first, but recently I've been vaping fruit flavors. Give 'em a shot when you're ready..

Welcome, congrats on quitting, and prepare to be amazed at how helpful people are.

I imagined at first that I would save all this money going the ecig route. Umm, no. I'm getting so into it that my 150-200 dollars a month to my old cig habit is not covering what I'm spending now and planning to spend on my vaping kit. I still couldn't be happier. I've found me a new hobby that is fun and life-enhancing. Can't ask for much better than that.
