Been vaping for about 3 months now, down from 30-40 cigarettes a day to 3-4 tops. I started with an ego twist and it seemed just fine, cut my real smoking in half from day one but I dropped my twist onto the concrete and the button became inoperable...Back to analogs full time till my replacement twist arrived! Second twist lasted but a week. it fell from a standing position on my desk onto its side and the button again sank into the body and was bust...I found some online tutorials for repairing the damn things but to no avail, they were and are still deader than a doornail. *sigh*

2 mini ego type batterys and a new charger followed but they both died on me also for reasons unknown. After tearing out some hair I began searching for alternatives, direct dripping sounds way too involved for me and I had already experienced leaking clearomisers more than I'd like so i began searching for something simple (to suit the operator!) mechanical (to prevent death by dropping) and relatively inexpensive (to prevent bank account meltdown!)...Leak free was also a consideration.

After a little googling I found two huge threads on this very website referring to the V-mod XL, also chanced to find a guy in the UK who sells them and ordered one immediately. Bliss, my first week of ownership shows me I only need a fresh battery every 2 days, and a 9 mil bottle of juice will last me nearly 4 days!

After lurking and learning as much as possible on those threads it seemed foolish not to join the site where I learned so much so here I am, thanks for all the info, looking forward to lurking some more and even making the occasional post!
