Hey guys! I just switched over to vaping after smoking for erm, counting..... 15years! Come to think of it, I had been smoking for half my life ! Was a one pack, 2 days guy.

How did I switch to vaping? I recently went to Newcastle to visit family and to further my studies (I'm from Malaysia), and I bought 2 cartons of duty free cigarettes on the way to sustain the habit (I knew cigs were expensive there!). Well, as my stock started to run low, my brother (who doesn't smoke or vape), recommended me I try vaping instead as it'd be cheaper. This was a week before my birthday, and I thought, I might as well do something good for myself this year. No harm in giving it a try.. I got my 1st kit (a Ce4 + ego 650mAH + menthol e liquid from liberty-flights) about a week before I ran out of ciggies. It was ok when I first tried it, but I didn't use it much due to me still having ciggies.

After I ran out of ciggies, I started to exclusively vape and it gave me a (very) bad sore throat. Then again, me being a menthol smoker, even switching brands or switching to full flavour will give me a sore throat. Anyways, I decided to not go back to smoking, and It's been about close to a month since I last smoked!

The other day, my battery ran out while I was out with friends (who were drinking - i kicked that too a year ago), and I started to get really uncomfortable. The drinking and smoking in front of me and me with my battery dead, I finally couldn't take it and bummed a cig from my friend. Boy was I surprised! Half way through I started feeling very nauseous, and before I know it i'm puking my guts out!! I threw the cig away and told myself, no way in h*ll am I going back to that!

But i'm really glad I started vaping, I can feel my stamina (i used to have none whatsoever!) and I smell better and can smell and taste better (but now I seem to detect if my nephew poops before anyone else does :p). Anyways, just wanted to say hi and share my story on how I quit smoking and started vaping instead. I know ideally its best to quit smoking and not pick up vaping but this will do for now, I always tell my self small steps at a time. I would never have been able to stop smoking if not for vaping!

Welcome and Congratulations! :)

Regrettably, I refuse to buy from Liberty Flights so can't advise you on where to go with your hardware.
Having said that, a CE4 will not last long and they are not exactly cheap from LF. (..in fact, they are a joke price)

Have a look here for new clearomisers.

Clearomizers

Myepack also do nice batteries too. :)

Good luck.

Welcome to the forum sureshk13 and well done on quitting the ciggies - make sure you always have a backup, and a backup for your backup !! :)

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on giving up smoking!

You have learned the hard way always to keep backups!

How is your throat now? You need to drink plenty of water as vaping dehydrates you. If your throat is still sore, it might help to change to an eliquid that has a higher amount of VG.

Well done for making the switch i'm new to vaping and giving up as well 2 months 1 week and counting might want to get a spare battery so you don't run out in future?

Lol... Everyone seems to say that! BACKUPS! Its high time I got one really. I am thinking of getting an Innokin VV Express V3 & a Ego V V2 Mega. I don't seem to quite like the bigger(thicker diameter) batteries and the normal ego batteries are not cutting it for me since i switched to dual coils.

My throat is all good now. Well I'm still adjusting to the weather there and that too is a factor of me getting a sore throat. One thing i've learned the hard way is always drink lots of water! I usually have at least half a glass of water after vaping, however little!
