Hello Everyone.

I’ve been an E-cigarette enthusiast for 6 months already. I started out with one of those generic e-cigarettes that you usually see on Filipino buy and sell sites, the ones that look like real cigarettes.

They are really cheap and i got mine for less than $20 for a starter kit. My first week was great and i truly enjoyed the vaping experience for the first time. However after a few weeks i spent a lot of money buying extra batteries because they fail on me fast.

I did a lot of research about these cheapo automatic e-cigs only to find out that they are really flimsily made because of the poor battery primalrily due to the fact that since they are automatic, the batteries are hollow in the middle for the sensor to detect air flow when you puff. And since theyare hollow, the e-juice from the atomizer periodically trickles down in them, killing them over a period of time.As a 6-month user i do not advice anyone to buy these cheap e-cigs, because they only destroy the whole e-cig experience. Poorly made batteries and ultimately poor vapor production.

Extensive research here on ECF and youtube reviews have lead me to believe that as of today, the three most popular e-cig models in the states and in the UK, and they only differ in brand and battery device but come from similar manufacurers:

1) DSE - 901
2) Joye 510
3) M-401

Out of these, i found out that there is one retailer in manila (PCRUS.PH) that sells a very popular device for the joye 510 model: the Joye eGo (aka Janty eGo and TW Tornado):For me, the premium price on it (around $80) was worth my absolute every penny. The kit came with 2 batteries that last a day each on my pace, very fast charging at 1.5 hours, and I AM vaping LIKE A DRAGON, LITERALLY. The fact that the device is also a Manual Type the battery is totally sealed and i have no more worries about juice destroying the battery cells inside.

ECF was the one who lead me to believe that THE CLOSER IT LOOKS TO A REAL CIGARETTE, THE LAMER it is. I find this very true In all aspects terms of Battery-life, lifespan of the entire device, and vapor production.I recently bought a passthrough 510 (the one with a battery box) and i am just as happy with it as i am with my wonderful eGo.

Thanks ECF!!!

Quick Question: I would like to know though if Totally Wicked Tornado products are 100% compatible with my Joye eGo. On paper it sure looks like they are from the same manufacturer, but i would like expert opinion on this :) I am asking this because currently, extra batteries, extra chargers, and drip tips are not available here, and i sure would want to order some, and it seems that it is only TW that is available to ship to Manila. Thanks in
advance!

Cheers!

Hi QJ.

The Tornado should be completely hardware cross compatible with the eGo. Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it is one of the rare rebrands that JoyeTech allowed for the eGo.

Edit: I like your avatar btw.

Thanks for that info :)

Thanks :) i illustrate for a living :D

I've been using my TorneGo, as I call it, for a few months now. I second that the various parts are mutually compatible.

You could add the KR808D-1 to your list of popular PVs. At least in this forum, more popular than the M401 ... seems to me.

Welcome to ECF! It's probably the best place to continue the research you've clearly already started. :)

Vape on!

Thanks for that info :) I will now heavily consider trying out TW's accessories. Many thanks!

Greetings and welcome!

I've been to the Philippines many times (mostly to Mindanao), and really love the country. I wasn't aware that e-cigs had become available there. Great! Maybe you will soon find durian-flavored e-liquid :p

How random that this thread should've popped up again! I'm actually back in Manila for two weeks!

Well, I am in Manila for 2 weeks, but my clothes will only be here for 12 days. Delta sent them to Amsterdam instead, along with my brand new and never been used GLV-2!

At least my Silver Bullet is with me!
