Benvenuto!!!!!
"Uh, and you have to hear my spoken english... ROTFL, is terrible!"
You should hear mine, but don’t worry it will not get better with the time; sometime when I start talking with people they suddenly ask: Are you Italian?
After so many years. Grrrrr!!!
What is important is to be able to communicate.
By the way, great work with the labels and the "Ricettario", also fine leather craftsmanship.

Venice had one of the best art school in Italy, I suppose it is still a good one. I went all the way in Rome, liceo artistico, fine arts academy, architecture university, I was an assistant professor of architecture history when I left the country. Now I am a Canadian citizen and i live in California. My work is still related with art, you can see my website in my profile.
Good luck
Alfredo

Absolutely interesting, Alfredo! I'm concept artist and a graphic designer whit a great interest in middle age decoration (and culture) and the art of calligraphy. Too much modern young designers think that the "hip-pop" style it's the only kind of typography. Personally, I think that we can learn a lot more from history, first, and then we can start thinking to modern stuff :D
I'm studing some Ringerike and Borre style decoration from them northern Europe for a personal iullustration (actually, a tattoo), can you advice me some reference?

Great work! I love your patterns and color choices. Great intricate work.

Great to meet another Italian. I have always wanted more Italian friends!

I agree. Modern designers get to carried away sometimes. And you just don't see the quality of designs that you see in the old world.

Great leather work and design work, BTW.

"personal illustration"
this is indeed an interesting way to call a tattoo, my definition of this art is "blackboarding" it means transforming the skin in a blackboard, not a perfect definition because you can always erase a blackboard.
Beside the joke, Google the words Ringerike and Borre and you will find a lot of results, some of them from good sources like the British Library.
