I always feel i have to put my first post in the n00b forum. Hello after much research I've decided to start vaping. I'm 47 smoked for 30 years, was put on the patch, the gum, chantix, etc. I even went to the heart institute and they prescribed medication. NOTHING worked, I always went back to smoking. Before i give cold turkey a serious attempt im going to try vaping. My EVOD unit is coming in today and hopefully I will like it. I just want to say all the NEGATIVE feedback on e cigarettes is complete bull..... How can a government condone selling a known killer like cigarettes then poo on an alternative with way less chemicals instead of putting some research in it and embracing it and maybe regulating it. Easy they are making a KILLING on cigarette sales then on the other hypocritical hand condemning it. Once they find out how to market and sell and regulate e cigs they will be spearheading a NEW ALTERNATIVE to smoking but only when they can get the lions share of the cash.........
Regardless thanks for having a forum so i can get all the info I need to satisfy my paranoia..... Cheers to you all.....

Welcome.

Please join CASAA (it's free to join) and contribute if you can. We need all vapers to join together to fight against governments trying to severely restrict our ability to vape. CASAA is the only, all volunteer, non-profit organization fighting on behalf of vapers. Just click on the banner at the bottom of my post.

Welcome to ECF! I too have tried everything under the sun to quit smoking, but I always ended up relapsing because I really enjoyed it. I had been a smoker for almost 20 years, and decided that I was going to give quitting one more try. I bought the typical over priced 808 e-cig from a gas station, and after a few carto's quickly realized that it was going to cost me more money to use that than actually smoking analog's. Then I stumbled onto ECF. My husband and I cruised, lurked, and stalked the forums before my husband decided to buy me my first ego kit. Needless to say, I have not touched or wanted an analog cigarette in the last week since I have been vaping. It has worked so well that my husband will be ordering his own kit. I haven't noticed a drastic difference in anything from switching besides my cravings for nicotine are more intense(as if I was quitting cold turkey) but when that happens I just grab my PV and all is better. My tastebuds, smelling, breathing etc...have yet to change in a way that I can notice yet, but then again it has only been a week. I am so thankful for this forum, and for vaping. If it wasn't for the 2, I would still be smoking analog's. My best advice is to not give up, vape with an open mind, and keep telling yourself you can do this, you CAN stay away from analogs, because you can. Like my siggy say's, you are not a failure until you stop trying, so keep up the good fight, we are all here for you, and we have all been in your shoes at one point. Good luck!

Welcome aboard! I am also a fairly new member too. On July 3rd, it will mark my 3 months w/o a cig. An EVOD is a greater starter kit! I am still using Egos also. I have no plan to switch until my 1 year point which I will be rewarding myself. Best wishes and goodluck on your journey to a cig free life! It is definitely rewarding!

Welcome! :) Almost same story as yours. I am 44 and smoked for 28 years. I smoked 1 analog on the first day and 1/2 on the second. Once I started vaping the smell and taste of the analog was horrible. Now I spend all my money looking for the right juice. :p (vanilla is my taste) I just upgraded to the Ego C Twist recently and use the Kanger t3. I used or tried to use the Mini Vivi Nova but it started leaking as soon as I changed the coil. I like the bottom coil because I am to lazy to try to figure out the Mini vivi nova issue... :glare: Its easy to just change the bottom coil. This forum has been super helpful. You can ask anything and someone will response. Everyone is so helpful.
