Hi! I'm fairly new to the vape and ecig world (3 months) and just started looking for a follow-on to my first vape. I found this forum while searching the web for info and am very glad to be here. The wealth of information on the world of vaping here is awesome, and the environment seems very friendly.
I'm a 50-something man that's been addicted to tobacco since I was 14. My wife was a smoker too, until 3 months ago when she went to a conference in another city that required her to stay in a hotel. Since she was concerned about not being able to smoke in the hotel, and also worried about reeking of cigarette smoke among her co-workers, she stopped at a vape store that had recently opened in our neighborhood. She came home with a Kanger evod starter kit and went off to her convention. We had tried the 1st gen ecigs that required cartridges and had the weird little LED on the tip to make it look like a cigarette, but those didn't last long. I figured the "new" ecig would end up in a drawer within a week and be a $50 mistake... I was wrong.
My wife returned home from her convention very excited that she hadn't had a cigarette since buying the evod, and wanted me to give it a try. I was reluctant at first, but within a couple of days I had stopped buying tobacco completely and purchased a 2nd evod starter kit. For the last 3 months we've been happily vaping and have stepped-down from 24mg to 18mg juice without any adverse effects.
The Kanger starter kits come with 2 batteries and atomizers each, so we would usually each have one in use and one charging. A full tank and battery would usually last from morning until dinnertime, then we would both get a fresh ecig and be good until bedtime. The quality of the vapor is adequate, and the reliability and durability are very good. Recetntly I've noticed that the batteries drain more quickly, which is common after a number of cycles on lithium ion batteries. Thus, I'm looking for our next set of vapes (with things tech or mechanical my wife and I tend to get the same equipment for parts and repair commonality... just makes things simpler).
I'm looking for a system with increased battery an juice capacity, more robust vapor output, and excellent durability. I'm still figuring out the different options available on ecigs, but at this point a fairly basic model will work for us. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers!
