Over there
It is with great delight that I join this forum tonight.

Allow me to introduce myself: I am Doctor Who.
(Okay not really, but for the sake of ambiguity let's pretend that I am:D)

I'd like to share my story with you all, if you'd be willing to hear it.

I began smoking the ....STICKS when I was 13 years old.. and over the years I gradually smoked more and more every day, to the point where I'd easily blow through a pack in 2 days or less; regardless of the fact that I knew I was lying to myself when I'd say things like "Oh, I enjoy this habit, I really do, it keeps me sane, yadda yadda blah blah blah", I kept on smoking anyway for quite a long time.

I attempted to quit cold turkey probably well over a dozen times, and in the end it never worked for me - I always found a way to rationalize relapsing for myself, to say "One pack is not gonna hurt. I'll just smoke a few then throw the rest away."

It took me quite a while to realize that every single cigarette I smoked put me back on that horse whether I wanted to be or not; that the idea of smoking a cigarette on occasion could never work out for me...all the years of daily chain smoking had most certainly proven otherwise, at least to me.

Then I discovered vaping.

:vapor:

I started my journey on the first day of November with the purchase of an iTaste MVP 2.0 and a Kanger Aerotank v2, and they served me very well for quite some time; I'm not a vaping expert by any means but if I had to pick a setup for a total noob, I would go with that one, because I myself was a total noob when I got it so I know for a fact how easy to use it is. It pumps out pretty nice clouds too, and the ohm reader built into the MVP has been essential for my recent coil-wrapping expeditions.

Fast forward ~2 months to this day, and I have just a few days ago fully upgraded to a mechanical mod with an RDA and it is truly a wonderful device - however I cannot recommend a total noob to start off with such a setup, as there is a pretty steep learning curve and lots of concepts one must keep in mind to maintain safe operations - I had lots of assistance from some very knowledgable vapers in deciding how I would build my setup.

My setup consists of a Caravela clone, an authentic Mutation X v2 RDA, Samsung 25r 18650 IMR batteries, and an Xtar VC2 charger - along with a bunch of 26 gauge kanthal wire, some Japanese organic cotton, and a whole smorgasbord of assorted screwdrivers, drill bits, tweezers, scissors, clippers etc. It is a rather tricky business, but it's been a hell of a lot of fun so far, and I'm just getting started:laugh:

I suppose I shall now wrap up my excessively long introduction with this muse - years I lived in hatred of myself for continuing to inhale the raw, harsh, slow-suffocating smoke of tobacco, years I lived without a clue as to how I would ever be able to kick a habit that I knew would be the death of me - and now it's been almost 2 months of daily vaping and I've smoked roughly half a pack of cigarettes in that entire span of time - an extreme improvement for me personally, and every day the urge to smoke a cigarette fades a little bit more. I am no longer a slave to the Big Tobacco scoundrels; and I don't plan on ever going back to that miserable existence, now that I have vaping.

A huge thank you to anyone who is dedicated enough to read through this whole story - I'm honored to become a part of this community, and with that I say, SMOKING IS DEAD, VAPING IS THE FUTURE!
