    Hello all,

I'm glad that I came across this site, lots of vapor users all in one place talking about vaping!

About me: I had smoked for over 40yrs and while I had some success with the lozenges I really could not break my 1-2pack a day habit. My local Costco started selling the "Blu" devices and after trying them (and their follow on so-called 'tank' product) with no success I was giving up hope until the other half developed an eye infection which required her to be in a smoke free environment for her eye to heal.

While I braced myself for smoking on the back porch I dropped by a local M&P vape shop and they set me up with a beginner "iTaste Clk!" system, cheap Aspire BVC tank and some juice.

I'll admit that the first few days I "cheated" and stepped outside for a analog smoke or two but by the 3rd day I was looking for another flavor (and another tank) and was no longer 'cheating'. Since then I've added an assortment of other Aspire tanks, flavors and regulated VV/VW stick like 'mods' to my vaping hardware.

While I still thank the local M&P for getting me started I quickly found that hardware can be had (even with shipping) much less expensive online as well as the "juice" ingredients are easy to find, mix and purchase online for 1/10th or less then what the local M&P shop was charging me.

I'm happy to say that I've been analog free for nearly a month and I have modern vaping to thank for that. I guess I'll enjoy this until our local/state and federal government taxes and regulates the PV industry out of existance!

Hi George. I was also a 1 to 2 pack a day smoker for 40+ years. Vaping got me off the damn cancer sticks also. You're stuck here for a total of five posts or replies and then you can wander off to other forums. They do that to try and get rid of the spammers and it does seem to help.
Welcome to the forums, in my opinion best site on the web for vaping info.

Welcome to ECF, George! A lot of us have gone through very similar journeys to yours in finding an ecig setup that works for us. I think you're going to find a lot of invaluable information on this forum, so get those 5 posts out of the way and enjoy! And best wishes to your wife in recovering from her eye infection.

    Welcome aboard, George!

Glad to have another vaper amongst us :)

Funny, just yesterday someone was asking about my "e-cig" and I had to correct them (at least in my mind I was) that NO, this is NOT an "e-cig" I'm using but a Personal Vaporizer.

While the addictive drug used in what I vape is extracted from tobacco plants that is about as close as it gets to analogs.

Welcome to the group.. Congrats on giving up the cigs... Hope you can stay off of them..for your health's sake..
I was lucky as once I purchased my ecig.. I never had another stinky.. That doesn't mean I didn't want one. Especially since my husband was told of his health problem.. I wanted purchase a carton of Virginia Slims 120 and dark place and smoke the whole carton. I got control of myself and picked up my ejuice and said a prayer...So if I can do it so can you..
