Hello everyone,

I've been reading the posts on this forum for quite a while now, and I've finally decided to get involved. There is a great sense of community on this forum, and it's the only resource I have found for e-cigarettes etc. that isn't simply trying to sell something!

I've been both riveted and terrified at the thought of e-smoking, and to a newcomer all of the ins and outs and terms used can be rather confusing. It's great to know that there is a place online with such accurate, impartial and up-to-date information within the e-smoking community in what is still quite an unknown subject.

My first and only e-cigarette is from theelectroniccigarette.co.uk (and it's one of the 10cm 'Super' ones. I don't smoke a lot but have found it impossible to give up completely, and I wanted a realistic looking cigarette so that I could smoke outside with the other smokers without attracting too much attention - I like to explain e-smoking to people but I don't like people asking about it constantly when I'm trying to enjoy a night out. It seems to do the trick, but the cartridges don't seem to last as long as I thought they would. At least I'm not smoking tobacco anymore!

Anyway, enough about me ... greetings to everyone, and keep up the good work!

Welcome to the board Spider. I have found this community very helpful and I am sure you will too.

I also wanted a realistic looking e-cig first. My first e-cig was a mini-cigarette from minicigarette.net. I was very disappointed with the quality of that one. Later I tried njoy cigar style and loved it (until it broke. Still waiting for replacements). Then I bought a Kissbox classic which is a great product in IMHO. I don't search anymore for realistic looking e-cig. What I want is quality! :)

Thanks shogun. I've read a lot of people's posts about preferring the more classic style e-cigs because of the quality, but having nothing to compare to I can't really see anything wrong with my mini e-cig, and it's much better than I expected it to be anyway. With it being so much cheaper, I thought it must be inferior, but as I said, it's been fine so far. I'll have to wait and see if it breaks or stops working, and then I'll have to try a better product and see what I'm missing!

Greetings and welcome.
I'm a newbie myself, and have found a lot of great info on this board.
I started out with a mini (dse901) from Pillbox, and subsequently got one for the wife as well!
So far, I've gone from about 25 cigarettes a day to about 2-5 plus the e-cig (over the course of 10 days), so i'm quite happy with the results so far. My wife has gone from about a pack a day to zero in less than a week!
The e-cigs get a lot of attention when used in public, and right now i have a Super on the way for my mother-in-law, and ten mini's for friends at work; this stuff might spread like wildfire in no time flat :)

best regards

Excellent! It's good to find someone else on here who bought from the same supplier. I really like the super, and I've only had it a week but I've not felt the need to smoke any cigarettes at all - even when I've had a drink, which I thought would be really hard. As for the attention, not many people notice when I'm out on the town, but everyone at work is intrigued! 10 on order? Wildfire indeed!

Greetings and welcome. I'm kind of new to all this myself and I, too, started out with a mini. I heard about e-cigs on FoxNews about a month ago. Never heard of them so after a quick google, I decided on Smartfixx (cheaper than Njoy but in the US so no issues waiting on shipments). I like my mini a lot but as you say, the cartridges don't last long and I've been through six atomizers in a month. Thank goodness for Smartfixx warranty!

Anyway, I wanted a mini for the same reasons -- I wanted it to look "real" so I'd feel like I was still smoking real cigs and I didn't want people asking questions all the time.

Then I found this place and started reading up on all the brands and types of e-cigs. About two weeks ago I ordered a pen style from myecig.com (this is meltrex's store and he's a member of this community) and I just love the pen! The cartridges last longer and have a much smoother draw and lots more vapor than the mini.

So now I have two e-cigs. Because the cartridges for the mini don't last long, I use the mini only when I go out somewhere. I use the pen at home.

Welcome!! This is a great place!

hello spider.yes, either pillbox or smokester are great UK suppliers, you cant go wrong with either, and personally i wouldnt buy from anyone else...but as kit said, smokesters cheaper and has more choice, including flavoured cartridges and liquid...you should definitely check him out.

Flavors and liquid are definitely strong selling points, but for now i'll stick with Pillbox :)
Didn't i see him on the old forum? Or was that somewhere else in cyberspace?

By the way, on the subject of flavors: Does anyone have opinions/comments/whatever on menthol flavor in e-cigs? My wife used to smoke menthol, and the mini-cartridges don't really taste much like menthol. Mind you, the local menthol cigarettes have VERY strong taste, so most wold propably pale in comparison.

Best regards

I have always smoked menthol myself... and that is one thing I can't find a good 'taste-alike' for in any e-smoking liquids so far (think I tried all available, except Jane's, she doesn't sell to out-of-US-places).
But once I took the step to try out other flavours instead, I wasn't disappointed... choice enough, just as nice as menthol though not the same.
I found apple to be a very good replacement, actually... has the fresh taste I looked for in menthol (ok, it's different... but fresh too).
And next to that one as 'base', I just love trying out all those new flavours. There is bound to be something you two will find to like too, I'm sure. :D
