Welcome to ECF! Do you know what nicotine level your juice is? Sometimes upping the level can help with cravings.

The KR808D-1 PV's are great little devices, but my question to you is do you like it? Finding the right nic level, the right flavors and the right PV go a long way in quitting the cigarettes for good!

When I first started vaping I had a hard time quiting analogs. Mostly due to the wrong strength. I also wasn't happy with the device I was using. Once you find the right set up the experience will get so much better and analogs won't even appeal to you. Best of luck! We are all here to help

Are you aware you can use cartos from Vapor4Life, SmokelessImage Volt, Bloogplanet MaxxFusion, Halocigs G6?

You could try my fave Vapor4Life juice - WOWbacco (cocoa tobacco) or if you are a menthol smoker the WOWboy is the same with a bit of mint added. Their WOW tobacco sampler contains both. Sharp-edged hit for its nicotine level, especially in the Vapor4Life WOW cartos. And cocoa is an ingredient in most popular US cigs. Some people make their own cocoa tobaccos by adding chocolate or cocoa eliquid to their fave tobacco eliquid.

Or for a nutty somewhat pungent tobacco eliquid that reminds me and many others of a freshly opened pack - try Desert Ship from FreedomSmokeUSA and I recommend 80PG/20VG in cartos

Pay attention to how well different juices satisfy you. Stick with juices that have flavor and/or aroma and TH that relaxes you. For now, stay away from any flavors that leave you craving an analog. For some new vapers non-tobacco flavors leave them craving an analog. For some, tobacco flavors do that. And some can vape anything right away.

Remember to smell the vapor.

Your mornings and bedtimes may be easier with a 3rd battery to leave set up all night, vapable to the minute you go to bed, or if you get up in the night, or first thing when you wake up.

Most who struggle haven't found the appropriate nicotine strength or are not getting warm enough vapor. You didn't comment on the nic strength of your liquid. Most need 24mg strength to make the transition at first. A model such as the e-Power , which is a good "beginner" PV, may also help you finally get away from the analogs.

Welcome, congrats on your effort. I'm new here as well and there are some VERY hopeful folks around here. I'm curious to know what nic level you are vaping at also. I started at 18mg... It came with the starter kit I was given for my birthday. The first few days I was still smoking an analog or two and thought, what gives? So I went to my local tobacco shop and made the switch to 24mg. The difference was instantly noticable, and I've been off the analogs ever since! A good friend of mine smoked up to two packs a day and found 36mg to be the best for her. The higher the nic level, the stronger the throat hit. I find V4L's guide to be a good jumping-off point: http://v4l.com/Nicotine-Strength.html

Also, I found making the full transition to vaping can be difficult if you aren't using a juice you really enjoy. There have been some excellent suggestions so far. Just don't expect them to taste like "cigarettes"... Because they taste better. ;] I smoked American Spirits and found my initial all-day vape in 555. My friend who smoked Newports was amazed by the similarity in flavor to the Nuport 24mg cartos and was able to fully transition in just a day. Another friend who preferred full-flavored / Red analogs (and also happens to be a chocoholic ;]) fell in love with the WOWbacco cartos.

I think informing everyone of your current nic levels, how much you used to smoke, and what kind of flavor and throat hit you are going for initially will be a great start to get more advice. :]

I think you are very right about how finding the flavor of juice and level of nicotine is what really makes it possible to get off analogs. I've been vaping for four months. I spent $500 to end up with two favorite flavors. It was discouraging at first, but in the end it paid off. For me, I love SmokeTip Menthol and Coffee in 16 milligram. It took a lot of trying of many brands and flavors to find this discovery. Now I buy in bulk because with SmokeTip, the more you buy, the more you save. I also learned a very valuable lesson when I started vaping: never throw any cartomizers away just because I don't like them at first. Once I stopped smoking, my taste buds changed. What I liked initially, I stopped liking after a few weeks. What I didn't like initially, I found I liked down the road. I smoked for 22 years without ever quitting once. I had no idea what my body was in for once I quit. I feel great now though. I can sing; I can breathe; I can laugh without coughing; I can smell and taste. It's a great thing.

Currently @ 18mg...and Im happy with the KR808. I can do just fine with it around the house..but it dosent cut it at work. Stress level is currently thru the roof there and I dont necessarily think its a nic level issue, I think Its more an issue of a "comfort level" dealing with the stress. I dont even like the taste of analogs anymore, I think its more the familiarity.
As far as "liking" Vaping....I actually enjoy vaping more than smoking. Did right from the get go. But after 20+yrs of smoking, Its almost like giving up part of your identity (even if its a part of your identity you dont like), and thats a very scary prospect for me. Theres other factors which lead to that as well, like recently switching from "blue-collar" to "white-collar" status at work etc....I dont always make intelligent life decisions when I start trying to be something I may not be...
I have found many flavors I like a lot. V4L are my favorite and likely what I will stick with for the forseeable future. WOW Kamel, Wow 555, Premium Dunhill & RY4 (in a pretty steady rotation) are the juices I like best, and I have a wide asstment of flavored cartos I'll hit once in a while.

Ooops...forgot to answer a few questions.....
Used to smoke anywhere from 1 to 2 packs a day. Mainly Camel/ Marlboro. Switched to lights about 5 yrs ago....and ever since the FSC regulations, Ive stuck with Marl sp blend lights. That FSC is probably the single biggest factor in getting me to start trying to quit. Sounds pretty sad that with the millions of reasons out there, It took that ....but whatever, at least Ive gotten that far.I used to think they were gonna have to cut a hole in the casket lid for the smoke to escape.
