Buying my first kit

If it's for a friend I would think a large sample pack would be perfect. They could taste to their heart's delight and then choose their faves. As another poster noted tastes change over time. Look at it this way...you be buying them a "box of mixed goodies".

What I did was search for the highest rated refills and just added them all to cart I think this may be the best solution

Ok so I am a newbie, for sure. I dont have the experience BUT. I was a 2-3 pack a day smoker. I went with the Halo G6 starter kit. I ended up buying a third battery, for just in case. I also bought an extra usb adapter, but that might have been superfluous. Anywho, my vaping experience has been wonderful. I was referred to halo by a friend, and I have no issues or desires to try anything else. (Not that I am dead set against trying, just find no need.) I am very happy with my purchase. I also bought the 24mg before starting to mix my own. I mix it at about 25mg. At that level, im vaping probably 4-6ml per day, depending on whats going on.

The starter kit does come with five filled carts. I also bought the sample pack. Even though I mix my own, I bought another sample pack today, because I just loved it so much. Very very tasty. THe long and the short of it was that it was enough to hook me on vaping.
