Greetings from beautiful Carson City, Nevada,

I've been a lurker for a long time and figured it was time to pop in and say hello.

My name is rusty and I've been a heavy smoker for 45 years. vaping was supposed to be a tool to ease me off the stinkies, four months later vaping has become a part of my life and nothing I plan on stopping anytime soon. I've been off the cigs for 16 weeks. vaping did it, nothing else worked.

Nothing like watching a 58 year old man (who smoked for 45 years) chuck clouds with the best of them. I know what would happen if I tried dripping without quitting smoking. My lungs have started healing and I feel better than i have in years.

Ok, gotta go, but I thought it was probably time to at least introduce myself and thank everyone who helped me along the way. None of this would have worked without the wonderful group here at ECF.

Welcome

I too have been a long time smoker, decided to put my foot down for a change and quit. I got tired of spending so much money on those stinky analogs. I tried patches and gum, hell I've even tried herbal cigarettes which taste like burnt grass. I even went to a group thing kind of like AA with no luck either. But then one day I saw an TV AD for those Blu e-cigs, at first I thought I wouldn't like it but then I finally caved in and bought a kit. Took me about a week to actually stop buying the analogs. Now after a few months, I feel great. I feel like I have more energy then ever before and I've grown up from the Blu to a MVP 2 with Kanger Mini Protank 3 and lemme tell ya, I have no regrets what-so-ever.

So, what are you vaping with? I'm 9 weeks into vaping and have Evod's, MVP, VTR and a Reo Grand. Doing DIY juice too. Looks like I'm in this for the long haul.

Tell me this does anyone ever feel like ppl are staring at you thinking you are doing something illegal lol maybe not so much now because of all the commercials and awareness about vaping but i still get the occasional weird looks lol

For dripping I use a Tugboat RDA and Infinite clone. Dual coil setup, 6 turns 24 gauge around 2.4mm. About .4 ohms per coil. For vaping I'm using a DNA 30 with a Nautilus sitting on top of it. I have a lot of other stuff that I'll probably never use again, a part of the learning curve I suppose.
