I saw that the Gripper from madvapes is now going for only $9 and picked one up. Thought I'd share this for anyone who wants to use a clearo on their Gripper, which is a big improvement over the 510 carto. I thought about trying to fit an ego sized clearo (e.g. Protank Mini) on it, but this would have required removing so much of the carto tube that the whole assembly would have been seriously weakened.

I had some Kanger e-Smart clearos (1.3 ml), which work well. You need an 808 to 510 adapter. Just cut away the top portion of the tube with a dremel cutter blade, then enlarge the hole with a 15/32 or 11mm bit. I left the tube high enough to cover the base of the e-Smart, with the rest of it exposed. Be careful not to contact the 510 connector when drilling - it's just glued or pressed in and can be easily knocked loose.

The only issue is the 808/510 adapter I got doesn't allow airflow through the 510 end, so I had to grind a small airflow channel into the tip. Has anyone seen 808/510 adaptors that have vents on both ends? Other than that, it works great for a beater stealth vape.

In my happy place
You can also get the Kanger t4 that comes with a 510 thread, you can also use a mini Vivi Nova clearamizer. I used a drill and opened up the top a little so the T4 would fit, Then I drilled out a slot on the side so I can see how much juice is in it.

I have a MVP, iTaste 3 vv, mech mod, pipe mod, and many egos, the gripper is my daily carry vape.

Thanks, I'll try a T4 on it, since the 808 adapter I'm using with the e-smart is limiting airflow. Do you get decent airflow with the T4, or is it still tight?

Yeah, the Gripper is ideal for carrying around. Small, light and if you break it or lose it, no big deal. I wonder if they're so cheap now. Maybe they made way too many and are trying to unload them. I think I'll get a couple more for spares.
