I'm building a DNA40 in a hammond box, and I'm trying to find some information about grounding. I do know the DNA40 only needs 1 ground and the other connections that need ground are internally connected. I'm going to panel mount a varitube 510, but I didn't realize they had the solder terminal rings available separately when I ordered..
Can I solder the ground wire directly to the inside of the box next to the 510? Or would there be too much risk of losing connection since it's not tapped? I can't find any detailed discussion about grounding anywhere, so if you could refer me to an explanation about grounding that would be helpful too.
Also, if you think I should solder to the nut, any tips on how to get a good solder and still be able to tighten the nut? That's my main reason for not wanting to solder a ground directly to the nut.
Thanks!
