I know that a few of you were interested in how it turned out, so now that the transaction is complete I thought I'd share the experience.
I had not made a 5v booster mod before this, but had been considering it and done a fair amount of reaserch, so it was something completely new to me.
Despite ever present obsticles that are present with any first time project, (opps, need this part or that) it went well and came together pretty well.
I was so impressed with the results that I had to turn arround and knock out one for myself (pics to follow) that was almost identical to the one I made for the trade. (Mine is a KR808 version instead of the 510 and my LED is in a different place. Slightly different on the inside.)
I had been playing on my friends Epiphone SG and was pretty impressed with it,....until my Fender Starcaster Strat showed up. Then I realized that there were a couple dead strings on the Epiphone.
I absolutely love my new guitar, my first electric, and hardly a day goes by that I don't pick it up for at least a few min. (Pics also to follow.)
I also have to thank some of my PIF family for helping out, the drip tip I needed was on backorder and I made a trade for a nice brass one that completed the project.
Here is what BradSmith wrote me when he got it:
"Hey, I got it and it's great. It really packs a punch. I'll let you know after a while how long the batteries last. Thanks again and enjoy the guitar. Feel free to post and let people know how well everything went. I am very happy with the deal and I hope you enjoy your guitar. "
So,....Without furter ado The Pics!
Me with my new baby!!!!!

As you can see, the blue LED is very bright. If the master switch is on, the LED is on.

This is the inside of mine, its not quite as neat as Brads because I don't need the extra space for a bottle.

This is the inside of Brads mod, its a 510 and set up with a sealed connector for dripping. (I later discovered that an atty with a drip tip fit nicely in the storage spot.)
