Gus 18350

Been thinking about getting a gus 18350 as my first mech mod. Is this a good mech mod or should I get something else, are there any modifications I should make? Any advice would be helpful, I'm a noob. Thanks

Gus is a good mod; machined well with good materials. My main issue with them is the hot spring - I prefer mech mods that do not incorporate a spring in the circuit. When I was looking at the Gus, I ended up going with the GP Paps instead.

What is something good to replace the spring on the top pin? MY wife has a GUS 18350 and really likes it, but I have heard that the spring in the top pin is something that we could replace and make it even better. I was thinking of getting a GUS for myself too.
