Yep, priorities are a priority indeed. You did well buddy!

ESTIA should be ready the coming week, and loaded on site by next weekend. The way things are moving, Gus might also add more *Q-driptips. So, it's very likely you'd be able to fetch it then. In any case, when you are ready shoot an email to him - and one could be reserved for you.

*Loved the Q-Tip reference.

Anytime I look at that drip tip I think Q-Tip :) I should be flush for more shiny things on the 18th or 19th this month. Hopefully I can get the ESTIA and Q-Tip will be available for me then.
I have a lot of respect for mod makers that produce a well engineered work of art for reasonable IMO pricing. His work is fantastic, from the ballbearing switch to the machining, design. Can not wait to get my hands on the Lord this evening.

I will be posting Vdrop out of the mail and Vdrop after cleaning before vaping. (Yes, I clean and polish a a brand-new mod before I use it.)
Hopefully I will be able to sit my new Magma on it as well, it should be here tomorrow or Monday. I will post some Texas Hill Country pics shot "in the woods".

I'll make it three suggestions for the KFL+. I got mine from cloud 9 in the UK. It wasn't in stock anywhere and I wanted now. Sometimes I do that.

I have wanted to try a kfl+ for forever to see the performance.. but I just dont think it would look good on my titan which is my only mech lol.. especially with a black titan.. is there a black kfl+ out there that you know of? I want to know first hand the difference in performance between a kfl+ and my helios. both with same resistance (2 micros) and same wicking material (was thinking I would try building auto dripper with just cotton and see how it works.. anyone do this?

The Kayfun has a brushed finish. It won't match but since it is more of a dark gray i think it would look great on a black pv.

Never seen a black kayfun though.

I was going to order some fuzes today for backup. Does anyone know if they are fast or slow blowing? I would think they are fast.

Couldn't get your query. But, if you are looking at the Ohms limits then they have 5A to 12A fuses. The 5A is good for above 0.8Ω, while the 12A takes you till 0.3Ω.

There are two different kinds of fuzes, fast blowing and slow blowing. Fast cut the power right away once the rating is hit (e.g., 5A) the slow blowing fuzes allow it to hit the rating a short time before they cut out. It depends on the exact specification of the fuse, but generally I think of fast blowing as less than 1 second, slow could be as long a 10 seconds.

Of course, now that I start thinking about his why not use a 6A fuze? 6A is the spec for an AW IMR max continuous discharge. 5A would cut the flow before it reaches spec. Other brands (sony, panny, efest) are rated at 10a.

I think they are either 451 or 453 series Nano surface mount fuses. Littlefuse has catalog entries on them. I have access to the catalogs and some really good pricing for them. ~While I am at work, sadly I do not have a lot of time to research this at work. Both of those series are either "fast acting" or "very fast acting" I think there is one line that is "Slo-Blo" in the series. You are looking for the ones that have ET XXA, for example the extra 12As I got from Gus are ET 12A.
These fuses are typically for PCB mounting and are considered discrete components. They will have very liitle, if any drop or signal loss across them.

HTH - You can find them on Amazon, I just ordered the Kit from Gus and will be ordering another on my next order.

^We will love those shots :)

I picked it up from the PO on the way in to work today. I neglected to bring extra Atties so I just have the Patriot that is on my Hana V3.

I did remember to bring my inline 510 voltage meter. Freshly charged battery and .8 ohm DC build on a patriot = 0.18 voltage drop. Do not have a good multi meter with me, I will get back with how much of that is the battery later.

Edit: Hmmm that is the same Vdrop as my Poldiac.... Might have to recheck it when I get home after cleaning.

For now though.

Grats Fear, Patriot looks great on it. what in the world is that backround - ehehe.

The background is planetary internals from a Voith transmission out of a 45 foot transit bus. :) I have some other shots of it laying on some gears and springs and then some of it sitting on 2 different lathes, a CNC and a manual lathe and one of it sitting on the vertical mill. I will do some outdoor shots when I get home with my camera, weather permitting.

I have the Magma by Paradigm sitting in its delivery box waiting for me at home. :toast:

I will be getting on the Achilles list later this week, soon as I can earmark the money for it. I need to see how much the ESTIA is going to run though. I just "HAVE" to get both. Trying to make my mind up on the AIOLOS or the Spheroid as well....
