Yeah, I just got that message from him. From what I can decipher in the previous one, he mentioned it as being temporary (the new price), but I may be taking a leap of understanding about his true meaning.
Dspin, I just gave him your idea of only bubble wrapping the mods and sending it inside a padded envelope, instead of that famed Gus 'shoe box'.
He's little sacred that this may damage the device. But I'm telling him that I receive mods (as well as glass tanks) like that all the time. And none has ever come damaged. Even GP Paps just comes in plain wrapping.

i agree, mod wrapped in bubble wrap inside a bubble padded envelope is a god choice..
Did he forget I wrote to him back in January about that - even the Caravela is sent in a small paper envelope - wrapped in his famous felt. Felt or Bubble wrap - all are protected. I daresay the Hellfires are wrapped in a piece of bubble wrap in a thin brown paper envelope.
I don't remember what shipping for the Poldiac was from MM but it seems to me it was still under 200$ total cost so maybe 12 Eur from Athens Greece by UPS?

And yes I whined a bit about shipping time, but only here and only in this thread, not to Gus-Mods I know the speed of government backed post. It is what it is.

Shipping for my lord only took 10 days. I had no idea it was taking so long for people
I liked the box but my Lord came with free shipping. If I were paying for the shipping I probably would have questioned the use of such a large box considering the size of the contents.
I agree, a smaller package will cut down on shipping costs. That said, shipping is part of life with mods and atties. I also don't mind waiting. Not a big deal to me at all. As long as I know it's on the way, that's generally good enough for me. I like to watch tracking and see where it gets stuck as well. I was in the shipping industry for 12 years and I like to see where the inefficiencies are.
Hmm, I do not. If I did ~ I'd go crazy looking at the score
Whenever I need, if I need, I just log on to my Paypal A/c and check the invoices to know what I paid and how.
I keep one just for giggles, I key in dates for purchases and use some functions to pull up what I would have spent to date from day x on tobacco.

I don't get these huge shipping costs he's coming up with. I just ordered a bunch of stuff from Gr-Modders who is also based out of Greece and I paid $20 for shipping through UPS. Greece>NYC
Best part is I ordered it this past Sunday and it arrived today...

When tracking a shipment coming from gus-mods. What courier am i supposed to be using. I was using elta, but it seems my package has moved onto some other courier and i have no idea which one it is, i remember this happening when i was waiting for my gus lord, but i forgot haha.
