You're absolutely right! And there's a damn good technical reason for that. There's a certain depth of character of the recording that's lost with digital.

Had to LOVE those cool blue displays....
How about that HUGE "Tuning Wheel"????!! IIRC, an actual extension of the FLYWHEEL!!! Built like a tank...to LAST!!
Never had AR speakers, though I drooled over a lot of 'em!! Had an XA and XB turntable.....simple, rugged....quiet, belt-driven...
I'm still yearning for a pristine Garrard SL-95B!!! Now THAT was one AWESOME piece of machinery!!
