HA! - Ecig causes major security scare on M6 in Britain

Just saw on Aljazeera news... a whole major motorway (M6) was closed down in both directions, with literally hundreds of police and bomb disposal units attending after someone on a bus was seen pouring liquid into a bag and then smoking! Police later said the person had been using an electronic cigarette.

Couldn't find a link to the story on-line yet, but when it shows up i'll post it here.

I wonder what sort of mod the person was using to cause that sort of scare!

Sure can. They didn't go about doing it by halves!

It's heartening that the police quote in the second article seems very respectful of electronic cigarettes and refers to them as "a health improvement aid for smokers"

Positives would be that it goes towards educating the public about the existance of e-cigs, and with that hopefully a few extra long term smokers who pick up on the idea. What's the saying... all publicity is good publicity.

I do see your concern though, there are always those that will use it instead to push their irrational agendas.

Yes. You are so right. I just hope that people will take the time to understand it and not jump to conclusions.
