Stomp, when you gonna swing by my house and do a little soldering for me?!?!

Seriously though, IMHO it'd be cool if you could buy the regulator already wired up (obviously the wires would have to be 4-6" long and then novice modders like me could just cut to length and then solder onto the other components). I know there's no way to have everything pre-soldered but there's a lot going together at the reg. and it'd be handy to not have to deal with it! Or maybe I'm just lazy and unskilled!

Actually it's a cool idea!

How are you connecting that 4 lead tact switch? I ordered some before I realized they were 4 lead because I like how low profile they look. I'm new at this and anything beyond a reasonably simple circuit befuddles me a little. Add in something like this and I'm about ready to throw up my hands. I can probably muddle my way through without text except for that. I've stared at it and stared at it and I'm still not sure. I don't want to ruin any switches if I can avoid it.

Now that this has been out there a while, how are these buttons holding up? They are rated for only 50 Ma and there has been discussion on the modding forum that this is nowhere near enough rating to handle the flow of electricity through the circuit.

Anyone having them fail?

Those little buttons give me hell. I really like the action on them, but they're a bugger to get glued in place without getting epoxy where it shouldn't be, and I've killed two or three of them. I'm gonna get some mofsets and give the ones I have left a chance, but you'll have to decide for yourself.
