It's a new Kanger feature.

It used to take 3 1/2 turns to screw the mouthpiece back on, now it's down to 3/4 turn.

They're all like that now.

If you get liquid onto the threads, some liquid may spill, so remember to tilt the tank, press the dropper against the plastic sleeve of the coil assembly, and refill *slowly*; no spill if you do it right. ;)

That's interesting about the threads! I got two new tanks, one has much more threading than the other. The minimal threaded one is pretty awkward to put on. I don't get the advantage of it. It looked like defective to me...

They're interchangeable, and won't create a leak, although you might see a small gap, as the longer threaded mouthpiece won't screw all the way down.

The advantage of the new design is that it limits the force applied to the plastic mouthpiece, which could separate from the metal ring inside it, if you screwed it on too tight.

Halo doesn't sell replacement mouthpieces, but they are available elsewhere.

Yeah, it's tricky, but you get used to it. ;)

Now, I see what you mean! In other threads, I read that some people are having problems with the mouthpiece plastic and metal parts separating. I only have two Triton tanks and I haven't seen this yet.
