So ive been vaping for a few months, started with a prosmoke kit and enjoyed it but wanted more vapor, options, etc. I tried Johnson creeks red oak and pg line and love some of the flavors but wanted to try halo which seems to get rave reviews..... I ordered the halo tobacco sample pack in 24mg. I got the sampler and tried to vape it right away like I did with JC. Here is where I need help, they all taste Horrid, I did some reading and people were saying to let it steep.... Can this really change the juice that much? And please someone tell me that it worked and I didn't throw 28.00 out the window! I am currently vaping with an ego 650 batt and ce5 clearo. Thanks!

Flavor taste is very subjective. But... some juices really do taste so much better after steeping. I've had some that I waited a month on before they tasted ok. That is a bit long, but one or two weeks is not uncommon. Leave the caps off for a day, and keep them in a dark place. I'd say give them a week at least. They may even take a couple of weeks - depending.

What specific flavors? Everyone's taste buds are different. From Halo, I use Torque 56 and HX3 regularly. They're amazing, to me. Others I've let try don't like them.

Turkish and Freedom were acquired tastes, and they've gotten better after steeping a few weeks. I mix them together in my clearo...very good.

Bella Valente...at first...yuck. But the flavor has shifted over a few weeks. Not an all day vape, but enjoyable.

Halo's flavors are very, very strong and complex. Unlike anything I've vaped.

I'm also using clearos, and I've found that having a variable volt battery (I use the Twist and a Spinner) help the flavors. They respond well to higher voltages.

I'm a Halo fanatic myself, I use Halo regularly and sample other vendors on occasion, my faves are Tribeca, Prime 15, Turkish-Longhorn mixed 50/50, Belgian Cocoa and Shamrock.

Not sure how long you've been vaping but maybe your tastebuds still have'nt been completely restored from years of smoking.

Also like Yinzer said a VV will give you more room to adjust your heat range which in turn affects flavor, vapor and TH.

Last but not least, you could just be one of those people that don't like Halos flavor profile, some love it some hate it...taste is subjective after all. (psssst you'll hear that alot):D

WV, I hear that, I am hoping its not the profile, if it even was vapable I would give a chance but I'm talking nauseating flavor, it has to be the steep/temp. I had a vv batt and loved it but it died, next move will be to a twist or lava tube I think. Can you tell me what hx3 and torque taste like to you? Have you tried any JC? Can you make any comparison? Thanks all for your input!

it does not have to be the steep/temp. it could be you! it doesn't agree with you

I'm going to repeat some of the comments I know, but

if you don't like it, let it sit. it might need to steep. or your taste "buds" might need to "steep" revisit it in a week, a month, 6 months. at some point you might find it is wonderful. meanwhile get verified so you can visit the classifieds and if you end up still not liking it you can sell it. or give it away

if you read the forum much you will see that just because *I* love a liquid, *you* might think it tastes like poo. that doesn't mean the liquid is "bad". it means everyone's tastes are different. I think finding liquids you like is harder than finding hardware that you like. it took me quite a while and money to figure out that I generally don't like complex flavors and certain ingredients don't agree with me. in general, when it comes to liquids you really can't blame the vendor when you don't like it.......

the halo flavor I like is menthol ice, I don't like them all......

Torque is my favorite vape I've come across yet, in any setup. In my ce4 clearo (the rebuildable stardust) with a 3.2 ohm head @ 4.4 - 4.6 volts. I also have cotton wicks...that really effects the flavor for the better.

Anyway, Torque...I can't describe it. Spicy (almost peppery), mildly tobacco, with a sweet, mint like finish. A sweet vape. Amazing, to my buds. My girlfriend hates it. Smells like pancakes.

HX3. I didn't like at first, now I do. 2.8 head, 4.0 - 4.2 volts. Menthol. A berry / mild fruit flavor bordering on grape. Has a nutty taste to it, too. Like a menthol PB&J...and it works.

Bella...smells like feet...tastes like a cigar.

What I like best about Halo, it's gentle on my attys. When I clean the coils, there is rarely any buildup. Unlike some other juices.

I tried JC Original and Summer Peach, about a year ago. They seemed sweeter than Halo's juices. That's okay, but I like a dryer vape every now and then.

Thanks again for the words of wisdom and feedback.... I'm gonna push it and try the hx3 again tonight and then just give it all a week or two. I also def need to get a new vv batt and some new heads for my clearos and vivi as they are all 1.8ohm....

so captain Jack is amazing, don't love the hx3, I'll post more on the other flavors as I try them.
