I emailed them directly, and here is the response I got on Ice vs. NewPure





I would say that most menthol smokers prefer the Newpure over all. The Menthol ICE does however have a slightly stronger taste. Both of them will get more intense taste the more they are vaped. I would go for the Newpure first…Remember, it takes a day or so to adjust to room temperature and you’re atty, so be sure to vape it continually at first. The taste changes over he first 48 hours quite a lot.

well to explain would be over-doing. it's really just very simple. It's a simple fluid, very clean and very clear, oderless, and no suspended particles. It's very simple in the sense that it doesnt need to be mixed with PG, or flavorless, or cut and diluted to ease the methol-y taste like other liqs. I always hate having to mix/cut/split and continue to drip and drip tobacco and menthol, or menthol and flavorless, and i'd always have to test out my mixtures to make what I thought was a good flavor, this is really just a drip and rip, and to be honest, i know its hard to believe the taste changes and gets bettery after 24 hours, for some reason, don't know how..it does. Not sure if its our biology that accepts the taste easier after a certain amount of time, or if the atty needs to really soak in nicely and get "atomized"

I guess my taste buds are not sensitive enough but I don't get the menthol taste from the M Ice and I have been vaping it in one pv for a week. The bottles birthdate was 12/29/2009 and it is 24mg.
It is a pleasant, just no flavor experience for me. It is nice and clean and I get the nic and vapor, just not the menthol.

My go to menthol of the moment is TW's mentholyptus.

my go to menthol at first was TW's menthol 36mg, but that is wayyyy to hard hitting for me. It's like snorting 20 halls cough drops.
Is the mentholypus more of a weaker menthol?
Anyway, the newpure and ice, have a smoother kind of menthol, it's not very synthetic, it just tastes more natural, which gives me a TH, but its not as harsh as straight menthol from TW

You guys are nuts. No TH from Halo Menthol Ice? I call BS! What PV are you using? This stuff has all the TH of camel or marb menthol.

I agree. I have tried many Menthol flaovered e-liquids, V4L has some noce menthol flavors(IMHO) but none can compare to Halo's Menthol Ice. This stuff is just awesome...really brings out the flavors of other juices as well if you add a couple of drops. Amazing stuff. ^_^

Still like Halo's Smooth8 the most, but that is just me...but their Menthol Ice is my second favorite e-liquid.

Have you tried newpure before? i just ordered it a few days ago and heard that was very good as well, just a little less menthol-y and has a very smooth inhale/exhale on the vape.

Wow at 24mg, Menthol Ice hit me like a ton of bricks. It has a good amount of Menthol, more so then Newpure, and it had less of a Vanilla flavor in my opinion. I would say Newpure is smoother but I can't say for sure because I was vaping at different strengths. I did just cut my Menthol Ice with a menthol doubler from Tasty Vapor and I love it. I also ordered another bottle of Newpure, great stuff.

The only thing i "might" do is put a few drops (maybe 4-5) of TW's 36mg menthol in a small 10ml bottle of newpure just to add a little more throat hit. It's very nice, but i'm going to vape it for a day or so before i decide to add TW menthol in it. it's great so far .

thanks LMT, i saw a few posts on that, and saw how cheap they are on ebay. I have 30ml of TW's menthol which is strong as hell and i'm going to use that for now. I tried to vape just the TW menthol at first but it was wayyyy too strong, this newpure is amazingly smooth. just a weaker throat hit, actually, i've yet to experience a TH yet unless i do a 5 second drag, but again, i believe that all liquids really need to bind nicely with the mesh and heating coil in order for you to get a nice taste. Also, i've read a few times that the liquid gets better once it gets to room temperature, and once the atty is fully loaded with newpure and no other liquids, and if you're using a new atty, it takes a little bit for the liq to completely get into the mesh atty, kinda like a sponge. I'm going to give it 24 hours before i try putting menthol in it, but i think i finally found my go to online store, and go to liquid. whether its m-ice, or newpure, or the other flavors, i'm stickin with halo. easy, effective, no mixing, and very good taste.

Very happy with my mix of Nuport, Tobacco and some straight glycerin, has done me well for months of trying different percentages to get something I could truly enjoy. Not to minty and a good TH with blooms of vapor.

So I broke down and order some Halo Newpure and Menthol Ice. First I tried the Newpure for a day, nice vapor but I thought weak on the TH and not much on the taste. The 2nd day I tried the Menthol Ice, nice TH and I thought a bit harsh on the menthol when compared to the Newpure. Then I tried my old own mixed juice I had enjoyed so much, well after one carts worth of that... it got all thrown out. I can not believe what I had been using and was so happy with for so long was just horrible now.

I am a convert and I have now found the Newpure to be my favorite for my daily vaping. I do find myself taking a 10ml bottle and going maybe 8ml of Newpure and then topping it off with Menthol Ice as a 2nd flavor to use just for a little bit more kick once in awhile. But now there is no looking back and it shall be Halo all the way.

I will agree with you, double agree with you actually. I've tried so many DIY flavors, for example, my closest to decent flavor was 9 parts 555 menthol to 1 part TW's menthol (both 36mg), and that wasnt too bad, but the 555 does bring out the nutty flavor which i didnt enjoy. I tried a mix of 50/50 menthol/tobacco flavor and that tasted horrible, it was almost like smoking a .... off the floor that is 10 days old. I must admit there is practically no TH in the newpure, but i did what you did also, similar. I put in about 10 drops of TW straight menth, in a 10ml bottle of newpure and i have my TH back with the great taste of halo. Add that to a tornado battery and you pretty much are consistent throughout the day, no need for batt changes, no need for anything really, just your pv and your 10ml of halo. Makes life much simpler.

You could buy some high nicotine pg liquid and mix it with it. Not sure if your into diy. Try smoking it for a bit and if it doesn't give you your nic fix... throw in some unflavored nic. If it is a strong mg/ml it shouldn't dilute the flavor too bad.

The problem is I like to vape 36mg and they only go to 24mg

I was a menthol smoker and now I'm mixing juice with crystals. What would taste more like a menthol cig, the menthol ice or nuprt?

I'm a menthol smoker as well and would like to find a good menthol e-juice. Hadn't thought about adding menthol crystals in with the juice, though I am relatively new to the whole e-cig thing. Where would one get quality menthol crystals?

You can get menthol crystals right of of eBay if you want. But get a small amount because a very small amount will last you a very long time.

i've been vapin the newpure all day pretty much and i gotta say it is very smooth, but very little TH, and i do taste some vanilla. I added tw menthol to it to make it bettery, i'm wondering how the menth. ice tastes, maybe its just like new pure but with more of a kick
