It would be helpful for me to understand exactly why you desire to move up the NIC to 18MG??

Also, please remember that vaping is not the same as smoking a stinky cig. The NIC via vaping takes longer to enter your system and affect your body. Typically 15 or 20 minutes as compared to cigs which is seconds.

Flavor and TH (throat hit) are two different issues. Higher NIC usually means more TH with the same juice in the same session under the same conditions.. Halo like all quality operations uses the same flavor mix for all NIC levels in a given juice so in theory the taste should be the same.

HTH

Ok im not getti enough throat hit and im chain vaping. I find that i will light a cigarette after vaping for 20 mins, and im taking super long hits trying to feel somethinon my throat

Also getting some serious headches when i cut back the cigs

I'd say definitely up the nicotine then. Personally I started at max strength (or max strength for Halo anyway, 24mg), and I was able to quit smoking pretty much immediately. The important thing to understand is that you absorb nicotine very differently when vaping than you do smoking, and no one can really tell you exactly how strong your e-liquid should be to allow for a seamless transition.

Err on the side of stronger if you're having trouble kicking the analogs. Higher-nicotine e-liquid won't hurt you nearly as much as smoking will. That said, don't beat yourself up if you feel the need to cheat occasionally either. :)

(EDIT: I smoked 2+ packs of Camel Lights for 20 years. Some people here and elsewhere will try to tell you that Light Cigarettes equate to some arbitrarily low percentage of nicotine in e-liquid, but given how many of them I used to smoke I ignored that advice and went stronger, and I'm happy with that decision. Given all of the variations in each individual's habits and physiology, take any estimates you see with a grain of salt.)

I smoked about a pack a day of light cigarettes and I started with 18mg. I quit smoking within a week of starting vaping. And within 2 months, I dropped to 12mg. I do like juices that have more PG than VG so that helps the throat hit too.

More nicotine isn't going to be worse for you than smoking so if you have to up it, that's fine. Just keep the 12mg juice you got as I think you'll be using it in the future.

Also notice that after a vape session, 30 to 40 mins later ill chain smoke 3 or 4 cigs

If you placed the order very recently and you haven't received a shipping notice, you can call Halo and see if you can intercept the order and change it. Once it is sent, you cannot return it, even if the seals are not broken. (888)425-6649

If you are having trouble switching 100% to vaping, then increasing your nic to 18mg will definitely help. When I was in the process of making the switch, I started on 12mg, but it wasn't until I went up to 18mg that I was able to put the stinkies down for good and felt that I could survive on vaping alone. Since then , I have slowly weaned myself down to 6mg nic, and plan on going zero nic eventually.

Start high, and you can adjust lower, later.

I started at 6, went up to 12, then back down to 6, and now I can vape on 0 nic, if I choose to.

The trick is to be ready to make the switch. Keep some 0 nic handy, to mix with your 18, to make it a bit softer. You'll use the 0 nic now or later, so you might as well get it now.

I smoked full Newports for 40+ years. Started vaping @ 18 mg/ml. It cut my smoking in half, but like Ladiekali, I felt like smoking a cigarette at the end of every vape session. Sometimes, I'd smoke 2-3 in a row. I figured I wasn't getting enough nicotine so I upped the nic to 24. It was pretty much instant... I realized that I didn't feel like smoking cigs anymore. I made myself smoke at least 1-2 cigs a day to remind myself just how nasty they were. Then the weekend hit and I powervaped all Saturday with 24... until I got dizzy with .........  Lessons learned (for me)... I wish I had just started @ 24. I now quick vape and stealth vape @ 24, regular vape @ 18, powervape @ 10-12. I don't think I could do without 3 different strengths.

Cinder ella took care of me.
That woman totally rocks.
I decided to go with 18 for now.
Ill give it 2 weeks on 18 and see how it goes.

I use 18mg and had no problem quitting. Throat hit is everything. Torque 56 is what did it for me. I am now a tribecca junkie. Still love torque too. Some others even at 18mg just don't do it. Even thou not a menthol smoker sometimes those liquids can be a help and I will smoke and enjoy those from time to time.

Camel Wides, for 15 years....then onto John Player's (filtered) for about another 8 or so. just under a pack a day, plus more on weekends.

now...on a juicing kick...vaping that is..not dietary. actually...dietary too.

I started at 12mg/ml, and stayed there. feels pretty good not having all that crud inside my lungs. and turns out...my apartment is NOT supposed to smell like a moldy ash-tray. who knew?

Marlboro Reds for 33 years...

Started vaping with 24mg and it worked like a charm. I didn't want to go through Nic withdrawals so I chose the highest level I could (through Halo) and over 1 month later, haven't skipped a beat. From time to time it occurs to me that I don't smoke anymore.

God I just love typing that...:D

well everyone, went up to 18, havn't had a cigarette since 5:30 yesterday morning.
No even desire too. Since i'm down to one battery, it did die and i had to go thru 3 hours of it charging and that was tough. I slept for an hour of it :) Don't worry more batteries on the way!!!!! I stocked up now. But i made it thru the first 24 and about an hour ago my brother stopped by and tried to get me to go outside and smoke with him. I was just like nah, i'll pass. I got my juice!

felt darn good.

really glad i went up to 18mg. I like having both mystic and cool mist.
cool mist is too much on me in the mornings, but me and mystic, we destined to spend mornings togther!

Woot! Congrats and keep at it! I didn't have my "epiphany" moment until I went from 18 to 24 mg/ml. It was like day/night... I suddenly felt like I didn't "have" to have a cig. I wouldn't feel bad if I had to do a cig every now and then just to serve as a reminder of how bad they taste compared to vaping though. :D At this point, I doubt I could even get more than 2 drags of a cig without coughing up a lung.

Not sure if you're aware, but you don't have to wait for your battery to fully charge before using it again. You can charge it for a while, use it for a while to get some vaping in, plug it back in, etc, etc. In fact, some "experts" say doing that is good for the battery.
