My good friend has just ordered a Halo Triton kit. Just walked into my office the other day, and I guess after seeing me vaping and not smoking...and being able to vape in the office...he said "Pete, help me order one of those!" I started to explain the difference between the G6 and Triton, prices, and why I am a Halo customer, and he said that he just wants the same one that I use...so his Triton is on order. Gene is not real interested in various flavors...yet...he really wants a "cigarette" experience as much as possible. While I like Tribeca, to me it is not a traditional tobacco vape, so we did order Halo's Freedom Juice for starters. Gene smokes a lot, but not strong cigarettes, primarily Marlboro Lights and such. What Halo tobacco flavor do you think would be the most "familiar" to a smoker?

I am going to give him a cartomizer with Tribeca so he can try it, but I am thinking maybe Prime 15, if Freedom juice doesn't suit him...but amongst Halo tobacco flavors I've only used Tribeca.

Freedom Juice had a good analog flavor to it, from the 1ml that I've tried.

I primarily use Torque 56 as my main tobacco flavor, which is smooth and slightly sweet. It has a good, but not strong, tobacco flavor and is a pleasant ADV.

Turkish Tobacco has a cardamom kick to it, and is my relaxing tobacco flavor.

Prime 15, not for me, but if you like a strong nutty tobacco, then this one works. Very nutty.

I haven't had a chance to try the others yet.

Thanks jefsview. I am happy that my friend is trying vaping, but at the same time feel a responsibility to help him get off to a good start. Getting an ejuice that "works" for him IMHO is pretty important to that. I am a little concerned that filling tanks may be a bit of "busy-work" for a beginner, and that is another reason that I am going to give him a couple of filled cartomizers to try as well, but overall I think that going straight to the Triton tank system is the better alternative than starting with less, then wishing you had more.

I really like the Tribeca. How about ordering the sampler pack that way he can try the tobacco flavors.

Yes, I am going to point this out to Gene as well, thanks! I like Tribeca as well, but to me it is not a "traditional" tobacco taste. After vaping awhile my tastes began to broaden, but I know Gene, and he will be like I was...the more "familiar" the flavor, the easier transition to vaping.

I figured I'd be more "traditional" in flavors too. I was a menthol smoker, but liked very little menthol. Menthol Ice is all menthol and my most satisfying vape. Tiki Juice is nothing like what I'd want from a cig, but it's my favorite tasting flavor. I figured HX3 would be my all-day vape due to the description, but it's a distant 3rd.

I bought Menthol Ice and Tiki Juice figuring they'd be a good back-up if HX3 didn't work out. I also thought I'd like Tribecca and LongHorn. Funny how that worked out.

Get a sampler pack. Hell, get 2 or 3 different ones; you can both try them out, keeping what each of you likes. Sticking with vaping is all about the right juice with the right gear. If one's off, it's only a matter of time IMO.

I tried some Tribeca today. Let it steep overnight in a tank. Has a bit of a gas-station-coffee aftertaste. May be an acquired taste. I'll let it steep another day or two, and try it again.

I don't drink coffee, so I can't say it tastes exactly like you describe. I used to eat coffee beans all the time, and can say it tastes like eating burnt coffee beans. Coffee beans are good. Burnt coffee beans, not so good. Smoking burnt coffee beans, not good IMO.

I thought I'd like Tribecca. I'll have to re-visit it down the road I guess. My 7ml bottle has another year and a half before it expires, so I guess it's good for another 8 1/2 minimum lol.

AAAck!...I really like Tribeca! Don't be dissin' the Tribeca! ..........nah...everybody has their own taste.

Tried it again today. The coffee taste is gone, and now has after notes of caramel. Not bad. Turkish seems closer to tobacco than any others I have tried. HX3 is by far my favorite tobacco flavor.
Love the Turkish! Bought a 30ml. Reminds me of Camel cigarettes.

I like HX3 more every time I vape it.
I'm curious about the HX3..

To me, it has a rich tobacco taste (but not a lot of it, if that makes sense), hazelnut and a touch of menthol coolness in the finish. There's more of that hazelnut flavor than anything else, but it's not overpowering. I wouldn't charecterize it as primarily hazelnut with the other flavors mixed in though.

Just my taste buds. I'm no connosoisseur.

I like pretty much all the halo tobacco flavors I have tried. But none of them are really quite like an analog. Of course that becomes a non issue real quick. At least it did for me. I think both Turkish and Freedom are the closest to analogs that halo offers (to my tongue/snout). Longhorn is a pretty darn convincing unflavored Pipe tobacco flavor. Captain Jack is very similar to Longhorn, but more of a Cherry pipe tobacco taste.

If your co-worker really really wants a vape that is exactly like a cig, want2vape Paris would fit the bill. Warning though, once you start vaping, real cigarette taste is pretty unappealing. I got the Paris just to see how close it was, and yep, it's spot on, but I am not sure that is what I am looking for anymore.:)
