So, I've been vaping on the Halo Triton Tanks for a while now, never really had a problem. Today, while vaping, I got a very odd taste, like burnt plastic, from my tank. I thought maybe I just needed to add more liquid, which I did, but when I tried vaping again, the fresh battery began blinking like it needed to be charged, then smoke began leaking out where the button is, which at this point, turned an orange color. I instantly removed the tank and was ready to drop it in some water, but the smoke ceased. Now, the battery doesnt work and smells like burnt plastic. The weirdest part is that the battery worked perfectly on my other tank seconds before the incident. I tried using my spare battery on the messed up tank, and it began blinking like it was about to catch fire so i stopped. After inspection, the coil in the tank was slightly unscrewed, but how could that possibly cause my battery to almost catch fire? Is this what happens when a battery dies?
