Hey Guys, I have been vaping for about a year now. I started with the abdominal Blu and then went to a Halo Triton. I have been loving that ever since I left the terribleness that was Blu. But, one of my two Halo Triton tanks stopped receiving a charge. It was my fault since I forgot to drain the rest of my cappuccino liquid that was in there. I usually take great care of my of my starter kit but a surgery left me about 3 months vapeless since it was an oral surgery. Now I have a leaking tank and a battery that is sitting not being used. What tanks would you recommend me getting? I will be getting an adapter if I have to. Should I go 501 or ego? Glass and bottom coil would be a great bonus since I have been having my eyes on a Mt Dew flavor.:vapor:

I have been doing research on vaping and know some of the basic stuff like threading, ohm and mah levels, dark and anti-plastic liquids, and different coiling like wicks and bottom/top coils. Is there anything I should else I should be aware of when treading this new route of custom setups?

I too have a triton and found it very boring and not upgradable really considering it is an 808. Your best bet is to do what I did which is buy a MVP 2 and get a nautilus or aerotank tank and you will be set! I do still use my halo for on the go but once you try the MVP with a real nice tank like a kanger or aspire you will see that this will suit you tons better

If you continue to use the Triton you will have to get an adaptor if you want to use new juice devices as they come out. Smokeless Image and Halo are about the only vendors continuing to support 808 threading and they don't sell a wide variety of toppers.

For future reference eGo-type batteries have both 510 and eGo threading - the threading on the Titan looks similar, but isn't compatible. The tanks in this illustration are a bit dated, but it just an example. (Note: a CE4 actually has a 510 connection, but is designed with a "skirt" to fit eGo batteries.)

I graduated from the Halo Triton to an eGo battery and a Kangertech Protank 3 (dual coil). If you prefer a single coil, then you can use the Protank 2.

I LOVE the Protank 3, along with the Kangertech Airflow Control Valve version 1. I'd recommend these devices to anyone.

The eGo battery I use is the SLB eGo-V v3 Mega. (I bought it from Vivid Smoke, but other vendors carry it as well.)

I also have an eVic Supreme and a Kayfun 3.1, but I don't use them any more. The eGo-V v3 M / ACV v1 / PT3 setup is my rig of choice. It's lighter, produces far more flavor and vapor and is much easier to maintain.

I too went from Halo Triton to Kanger Evod with PT2's. I quit the cigs with Halo so I'm not dissing them in a bad way, but, its either Halo or nothing with their design. That alone made me change brands when my Halo equipment finally gave up. If they offered a glass tank, I'd still be with them. I wish I did a little more research in the beginning and I would have chosen a more expandable design. I still use and enjoy their G6 units though, a nice small on the go unit. As a starter kit Halo is a good choice, the price is right, they work well, and shipping times and customer service is exceptional. There are better choices out there though.

Abdominal Blu? You did put it in your mouth, yes?

Yes, I had the Premium for a while and every Cartomizer I got kept burning after an hour of use. The Tobacco was burning from the start. I was about to give up and only use disposables from White Cloud until I read allot of people where having the same issue. Then I saw ECCR's review for Halo Triton and I bought that. Only wish they used an Ego Thread and not the Vgo/808 hybrid connection. But then again, I had absolutely no knowledge in vaping other then there is a battery, atomizer, and cart.

All of Smokeless Image are 808/ego threading just like the Halo Triton I believe.

BTW, if you like the Triton tank, any Kanger T2 will work, and T2 replacement heads are the same.

Really, Smokeless Image and Kanger T2s are your only choice unless you change batteries. You could try to find an "808 to ego" adapter but they are hard to find in stock...and they are ugly. An 808 to 510 adapter will work for some devices, but no ego threads...and also ugly.

I've been this route with both Halo and SI...used both for 6 months. They are great companies, got me off cigarettes, so I have a soft spot for them. But they do have limits.
