Hey everyone, new to the forums here. I just received a Halo Triton tank as a gift, and want to know if there is any possible way to use it on my Dial-A-Volt from Vapor4Life. The DAV has a KR808D connection, and I currently use an 808 to 510 adapter. I'd love to use this tank, but it's starting to seem like it isn't possible. Does anyone know of a solution?

I used an eGo-510 adapter, filed down the top and it made contact just fine. Then I used a 510-808 adapter. The downside is you can't used sealed connectors. The only airflow is through the center hole in the adapters and then the connector. It's not a showstopper for me, but others might not be able to use it. There may be a clever way to Dremel an airway into the adapter, but I don't need it, so I haven't bothered figuring that part out.

***I posted an update that fixes the airflow issue on the next page.***

Haha nice work Relayer. Well I placed an order for the 510 to 808D adapter, and I guess I'll see how that goes. Part of me thinks it won't work, but that's just a guess based on previous luck. :p I've been trying different setups and haven't found what I like best yet. Recently got an order of elite CE3 clearomizers in, and I'm not a fan. Now just using cartomizers for the time being.

I understand your situation. The only reason I bought the Triton was because it was a fair price and I was already buying liquid from Halo. I didn't know it had goofy threads at the time, but I refused to let it go to waste so I went to hacking that eGo adapter until it worked.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the somewhat proprietary connector. Oh well though. I find it silly that I couldn't return the unopened tank to them. By the way, if you just buy the VV battery from Halo, does it come with a charger? The description sounds like it doesn't, but in my opinion, their product descriptions aren't actually that descriptive.

No, you need the USB adapter- $8. Same one as the Triton USB, though.

I didn't think they supplied the charger with it. Oh well. Might end up getting one of the Halo VV batteries one of these days. Does it have a cutoff? The automatic DAV does, after 5 seconds.

Also, what are your thoughts in general of the Triton tank? Particular with flavor and how right the draw is.

I love the tanks. Great draw, throat hit and flavor. I have noticed flavors really come alive with the VV and a 3ohm coil at higher volts. I don't mix flavors, in that I dedicate a flavor to a tank and never use it for another flavor. I'm sure there are ways to wash out the old flavor and smell completely, but I'm a lazy vaper.

Well, so much for the adapter I ordered from MadVapes. They had a security breach over the weekend and had to cancel all of the orders. Plus, my email got hacked from that order, and someone might have my credit card info. Woo! Haha. Ordered one from Vapor4Life though. Too bad their processing for orders takes like 2-3 days. :(

And Michael, while I can't speak for the Halo Triton VV battery specifically, I can speak for VV batteries overall since I have the Dial-A-Volt, which is the same concept and voltage range. It's incredibly handy to be able to switch voltages on the fly, so I'd say the $10 extra is probably worth it. Really helps you find what setting works best for you and whatever you've got attached to the battery.
