The goods arrived, and I've sampled those two so far. I did not care for the Kringle's Curse. Mint is good, but this is just too much. I'll try it again in a week or two and if it's still not doing it for me, I'll probably just trade it.

Liking the Java Twist better. Didn't like it much on the first few draws, but I'm settling into it. I get a lot more mint than java, but at a more manageable level than the Kringle's.

Seems like there's an awful lot of mint in the gourmet sampler. I'm thinking I might have been better suited for the tobacco sampler. Oh well, still a bunch of flavors to try!

I tried Prime 15 as one of my first e-liquids and thought it was great. I didn't taste any tobacco in it at all and it tasted just like hot chocolate to me. So, I thought, the rest have to be that good. So, I ordered the tobacco sampler and Belgian cocoa. It arrived a few days ago and I started out with Longhorn. OMG yuck. I didn't realize it was going to taste JUST like a cigar. Can you guess I'm not a cigar fan? I tried the Belgian cocoa next, but just felt so sick from the Longhorn that I was done with Halo for the night and...well maybe for good. I want to try the Tribeca everyone raves about, but if it tastes anything like a cigar....Forget it. That's one woman's opinion :)

PS...the sampler tin is very cool. I use it next to my bed to hold my ego batteries so I don't have to fumble around to try and stand it up in the dark.

pnut - maybe we should swap. I love the taste of cigar. Do you like peppermint? Could send you my Kringle's for your Longhorn (it's too minty for my taste). Probably better to work out in the trade thread in the merchant's forum, but PM me if interested. No reason we should both be stuck with flavors we don't like.

I haven't read all the way through this thread but I'm sure HX3 must have been mentioned. I just started vaping my sample and I have to say that I'm very impressed with this liquid.

Throat hit and vapor are excellent and the flavors are very pleasant. I can detect tobacco and citrus notes but there's a bunch of other stuff going on here that I can't quite identify. Whatever it is, it's got me all excited about getting a larger bottle with my next order.

I have to admit that I wasn't really expecting to like HX3 this much. Where Halo fruity blends are concerned I didn't think anything could top Southern Classic but I just might like this HX3 better. I'm only about 15 puffs into my sample so time will tell. One thing I know for sure is that I will be vaping this exclusively for the rest of the night.

This is just plain good!

I got the variety sample pack when I ordered my starter kit.
Tribeca gets a 5 out of 5, it is awesome
Turkish I did not care for to much, I will vape it occasionally, maybe it needs steeping.
Malibu was good too, I like it at night, and it tastes like pina colada so win.
Kringles curse is very minty, I like it after I eat, it does taste like you put a peppermint candy in your mouth.
Belgiun cocoa is pretty tasty, not an all day vape for me though
sub zero is menthol, pretty good, not a menthol fan, probably wont vape it.

I want to try Midnight apple, voodoo, shamrock and a few others I cant remember names atm.
About to order a 30ml of Tribeca
I also want to find a peachy one.

I've been vaping all of 3 weeks and am all in on Halo G6. Ordered pre-filled cartos in Prime, Torque, Turkish because of 'tobacco' and never have liked menthol analogs. I never have smoked black cherries, grass or trees so I may not go there at all.

2nd order was for Captain Jack, Tribeca and Cafe Mocha... Halo threw in 10ml Voodoo.

I'll rate 'em, but remember the eJuice science belongs to Halo, the taste budds are mine, your budds may differ.

in approximate order of 'strength' and pleasing flavor, with my rating so far based on 10/10. All @ 18
Torque 5 has a little 'bite (strong)
Capt Jack 6 decent but dry (strong)
Prime 7 Decent (milder than C Jack)
Voodoo 9 Very good, smooth, mild, flavorful
Tribeca 8 Very good, smooth, milder than Voodoo
Turkish 5 Thin, weak = analog 'lights'

At this point if it's below a 7, I probably won't go back to it.

then there's Cafe Mocha... very dark, extremely strong
Cafe Mocha is in the trash... R U kidding me... it's so ugly to my BUDDS I can't print a word worse than TOTALLY UGLY-GROSS CRAP. ok 3 words.

My reviews on the Halo e-liquids I've tried to date...

Malibu Menthol - Full Review

Hands down my favorite Halo juices and i'm not a huge fan of rum or pina colada!

It tastes more like eating pineapple and coconut cotton candy while sitting by the seaside on a cool and breezy day. Sweet candy pineapple and coconut are the flavors that overwhelm your taste buds at first. The menthol twist is more subtle but you certainly feel it’s always there. Don’t be put off if you don’t enjoy menthol, it’s very light and it blends into the tropical fruit surprisingly well.

Because the flavors are authentic and they taste naturally good, it’s very suitable for all day vaping. It’s one of my preferred fruit juices for doing just that. It’s not too sweet, it doesn’t dry out your mouth (after prolonged vaping) and it’s refreshingly fruity.

Tiki Juice - Full Review

Even though I don't really appreciate the flavors, I can still appreciate and vape this e-liquid but I think it's one for cinnamon lovers, I can't say I fall into this category, very interesting vape nonetheless.

This is one of those juices that you need to keep trying again and again to put your finger on the flavor notes that come through. It’s a complex blend of exotic fruit and spices. The first spicy flavor that jumps out is sweet cinnamon. In terms of the tropical fruit blend, I still can’t pinpoint these. It’s certainly exotic fruits, but fruit that are not citrus or acidic, something that’s sweeter and more muted, like mango. I suspect there is also a very small hint of orange buried in this labyrinth of complex flavors.

The tobacco aspect of the juice is barely noticeable and it’s certainly nothing like a traditional tobacco flavor. It’s spicy and a little sweet, but not sickly sweet. Much in the way Turkish tobacco has its own unique characteristics, the tobacco element of Halo Tiki has its own unique flavor. There is a negligible hint of menthol that comes through with the spice and exotic fruit flavors. Personally speaking it’s not an all day vape for me, even if you appreciate the uniqueness of the flavors of this juice, I still don’t think it’s one for all day vaping.

Belgian Cocoa - Full Review by Pink Vaper

Halo liquids – some love ‘em, some hate ‘em – they seem to be a little like marmite(firmly in the loathing category over here for marmite!) but either/or in this case there is no denying that Belgian Cocoa is a whopping strong flavor that absolutely reeks of chocolate once you open the bottle!! This one I can smell in my sleep, in my car, on my hands, in my hair – probably for days after vaping it! For me it isn’t an all-day vape simply for the fact that it’s just so powerfully strong I can’t get rid of the taste from my mouth for hours after vaping it! If you like chocolate you’d really need to be in the devout follower category to vape this for a full day straight! Having said all that, it definitely serves its purpose as a sweet dessert vape without being sickly sweet.

My tank of belgiun cocoa was low last night, used up the last of the sample bottle to fill it.
Dag nabbit, I only had enough to fill it to 2ml...hmmmmm light bulb

I added .4ml of kringles curse to the tank, tilted it back and forth to mix it, and let it sit over night.

This Morning on the way to work, I vaped it, first few vapes were still cocoa, then all of a sudden BAM

YORK PEPPERMINT PATTIES, toned down the strong cocoa flavor and added a nice mint taste YUMMY

were you suddenly on a snowcapped mountain top relishing in the crisp air of flavor?

only to later realize you were trapped on a peak of death and would have to resort to cannibalism to buy precious days worth of life in the hopes that a rescue team would find you?

i always wondered how many poor souls perished in those old York Peppermint Patty commercials....

I just dropped an order to replenish my Tribeca and Torque supply which disappears incredibly fast. I've been at 12mg since discovering Halo Tobaccos a few months ago and reordered at 6mg this time as I'm ready to drop nic level again. I enjoy these juices so much, I hope the taste experience remains the same. Kind of worried..

Just a follow up.. Torque at 6mg vs. 12mg might as well have a different name. Amazingly different. NO throat hit at 6mg and the flavor is only about 50% of what it was at 12mg. Really surprised me. I haven't tried my 6mg Tribeca yet. I already re-ordered both at 12mg again. I want to cut the nic but I sure don't want to lose the satisfaction of my two favorite vapes. Bummer..

Those are my two Halo favorites as well. With HX3 occupying third place. Sorry to read that your nicotine reduction didn't work out as you hoped. I have no plans to reduce my nicotine levels at this time but I certainly do appreciate the heads up.

Thanks to Pnut, I'm currently sampling Longhorn and Midnight Apple. As a cigar smoker, I was really optimistic about these. My lightning-fast reviews on them.

Longhorn: Tastes nothing like a cigar. Tastes like feet.
Midnight Apple: Feet with a hint of apple.

Halo seems to be seriously hit or miss with me. A handful of flavors that I really like and some that I just can't stand.

I agree. I got Southern Classic and Longhorn as 7ml samples in my last order of my favs, Tribeca and Torque.
To me, Southern Classic is straight up sweet white grape with a bite. Interesting but no way I can vape it all day.
Longhorn smells like strong brandy and vapes like potpourri. I couldn't stick with it straight but am getting through it mixed 50/50 with HV Sunset Cavendish. A pretty decent combo actually..

I'm happy to report I finally tried my new, two week steeped, 6mg bottle of Tribeca after using 12mg daily for months. Certainly not the same but it does retain that smoky sweet taste I enjoy, just on a lower level. Throat hit is still there. Yes! It can certainly become an all day vape for me in the future.
I'm still struggling with Torque at 6mg, which is hugely different than Torque at 12.

Since I'm so new to vaping I'm still looking for that perfect blend of tobacco flavor. Seems Voodoo as a free sample from Halo is really starting to satisfy. so I re-ordered...

Voodoo E-liquidBottle Size 30ml Bottle Nicotine Level 18 mg/ml - High Nicotine

Tribeca E-liquidBottle Size 30ml Bottle Nicotine 18 mg/ml - High Nicotine

Tribeca is still good and actually may mix well if there is too much sweet or mint in some other juice I decide to try.
My remaining 3-4 ml Captain Jack got the remaining 1.5 ml Tribeca (7ml sample remnants) mixed along with a shot of Voodoo to add a touch of sweet. Definately a strange mix but the touch of sweet makes it all palateable.
