Don't use that one, but... :)

Spitback is generally a sign that there's too little wick. And that could be the cause of the bitter taste as well, since you're getting a hot drop of juice instead of vapor.
The coils read at .29.

Each? That would yield 0.14ish for the tank, and without a lot of air, going to really hot and, ime, not at all tasty. Of course, at 0.29 total, you still need a lot of air.

No, it was .29 for a pair. When I give ohms, it's what the mod reads.
I changed it out to a single coil @ .58, same problem. Extremely muted flavor. Put the same juice in my Freemax and flavor for days.

Gotcha.

Some tanks are more forgiving....

Might want to have a look here:

or google up some vids on building it?

it's been quite sometime since I put a new build in my OXVA arbiter II but from my fuzzy memory I would say trim your coils leads to 5.5mm, dual 3mm ID, coil placement is huge on the arbiter II you want them closer to the honeycomb air than to each other so that the majority of air is drawn down around the coil on both sides then up through the center from in between. as far as wicking goes the key is thin your ends until atleast 1/3rd of the cotton is removed on the ends, take your time fanning out the wick into one wide thin layer using your thumbnail underneath as support and the point of closed tweezers to comb the fibers out straight. after the comb out trim your wicks so they are just long enough to stay in the wick wells don't try to fill up the entire space to the bottom. I will upload a photo in my next post with how I cut my wick ends in particular for that style rta
