I got a limitless + cheap.

I've been attempting builds for over a week. I've watched YouTube, read countless threads and how to's. Nothing I do works.

I bought pre coiled coils at .45 (would be where I like with 2, or so I thought) which come in at .16-.19 when installed. That's all well and good but I am absolutely horrible at wicking.

They end up with dark spots where they enter the coil. No matter what juice, no matter what coil. I try and learn but it either wicks a hell of a lot of juice or not enough. I taste juice 90% of the time. I've wicked so it just pulls through. I've wicked a bit more, bit less. Down to bottom of tank, half way, just under the deck.

At this point I'm ready to go back to drop in coils instead, or throw the limitless in the trash. I can wick the Arrow for dripping just fine. This Limitless+ just sucks, or rather I do with it.

Anyone have any ideas?

Edit: Added pics. I know the build is ugly, I can take criticism. I'm frustrated enough to just give up.

If they are at .45Ω for a single coil you need to cut that in half when going dual coil (sorry if you knew that already).

What wattage are you vaping them at and it looks like you may not have enough cotton in the coil to the back of the image you posted, I see a decent gap. Snug but not tight

I did this all the time when first learning (still learning!). The black spots are from wick shoulders touching metal. Take a wrap off each coil. Should cure dark ends. Are you thinning/combing the ends of your wicks? If not you need to.

I've tried combing and not combing. Will attempt again. Vaping around 60-80 watts.

Just bought some 24 guage nichrome and planning on some smaller simple builds. Those coils are premade.

By the way, thanks for letting me vent a bit. I don't have to be perfect, but I've drank more juice lately than I've vaped.

With my limitless I used 5 wrap .3 id spaced coils instead of my usual 7 wrap. Wick I cut to a good bit below deck and combed wick ends pretty thin. No issues after using this method. Should mention that I'm not married to specific Ω. If it tastes good & safe for mod/battery I'm good.
